Instead of having people cut you off or drive up your ass, they'd give you like 4 car lengths front and rear and get out of your way when you come up behind them. Totally worth it.

my friend had an older police interceptor like late 90's, thing was AWESOME! Even had the plexi inbetween the front seats and rear seats, shotgun holder etc. :coolugh:

They take the bar and emergency lights out before selling to civilians.. as well as the CA EXEMPT plates. The only things you're going to be left with are the black and white paint (maybe) a the police interceptor badge on the trunk. POOR gas mileage

The panther platform is a good one to work on. You can do almost anything, cams, engine swaps, blowers, turbos, even swap in a 5 speed.

Take an old police black and white, add a pushbar, supercharge the 4.6 and throw in a 5 speed transmission, and you'll have a car the local hondas will HATE.

oh yeah, and insurance will be cheaper, and its not a cop magnet.

I suggest you replace the suspension, and put in the transmission from a non p71. The beefed up p71 trannys are good, but it was beat on. Get one that hasn't been beat on from a junk yard. Besides that... good luck.
