What do you LSD guy's run for gear oil in your rearend.
Just looking for a good fluid for a VLSD in a S13.
whatcha reccomend? whatcha run? Whatcha stay away from?

Regular ol' Gear oil
its a VSLD nothing special about it

If you want your Viscous to lock on like a Pitbull, I run Redline lightweight shock proof gear oil it's the bottle with the blue lable.(i can't spell lable lol).

I run Cusco oil in my Cusco 2 way. Super quiet. Even more quiet than a Nismo 2 way street.

This is assuming you have a Nissan R200V. If you have another VLSD, consult the manufacturer of that diff for fluid recommendation.
According to the FSM, Nissan recommends API GL-5. Same as the R200 open diff.
Nissan recommends several range of viscosity: 75W, 80W, 75W-90, 80W-90, 85W, 90, 140 based on your climate.
80W-90 is recommended if the temp is below 104* F.
As for brand, use any brand you like as long as it's a GL-5 fluid. No more no less.
