Alrite guys, ive had my car for a while, and this problem has come and gone recently, now its started to stay for days/drives on end, then randomly go away

major power cut, very randomly, usually in between startups, or stopped for a while.

CEL for Knock Sensor almost all the time
sometimes throws Cam angle and EGR
but those come and go so i dont know

Brand New
Oil Change
Fuel Pump
OEM Injectors (whats the cc size btw?)
15,xxx Fuel Filter
10,xxx Air Filter
Thermostat

i found sensors on ebay for $30
but I want to know what else it could be before i go and buy em

Help [email protected]!

Is your S13 lowered??

1). If it is, it's possible the front tires could have wore thru the plastic driver side fender liner & damaged the main wiring harness directly above the fender liner.

2). You could have a short in the ground wires. If you have a Factory Service Manual, using the electrical wiring diagram in the FSM, trace the ground wire on the Crank Angle sensor to it's grounding spot. I think it's on the rear left side / driverside of the engine block above/next to the oxygen sensor area.

Or, 3). Maybe a bad ground wire leading to your Mass Airflow Sensor. S13's are notorious for this.

Anyhow, hope this helps...

1. ive already pulled my fender and tucked the notorious wire away, after taping up all the cut ones :/

2. i have nooooo idea where to look for ground wires, where do they go and where can they go bad?
when it comes to wiring im a complete dolt

any pics perhaps where i should start checking?

As stated above, look at the FSM for a diagram of the wiring.

the CEL is still on
but its a 240, so thats expected
HOWEVER

ive been pumping 91 nonstop, and it seems to have stopped "bogging" on me, so I think you should try that also sharker!
