like these?
Ksport USA - Performance Suspension (http://www.ksportusa.com/asp/air_suspension_detail.asp?product_id=as02)
looks like a coilover with an airbag on top.
i wonder how it handles, maybe alright for a dd/weekend track car?
wow that shit is expensive. not worth it especially for a 240. maybe if it was a y33 or some other vip car.

I dont think airbags on a 240 would work well for dd, but I haven't tried "performance" airbags before.

if it makes any difference, thats the "pro" model, includes some fancy's like a remote for the bags
the basic one is about 1k cheaper msrp
im still wondering if itd be ok for track, but i agree, that amount of cash could get you a very nice set of coils.

I am curious about daily use. Cause I would like to have a S14 thats really low on some Works for my daily.
But I dont want the ruff ride. Dates dont really dig it either.
So If I could raise my car on bags, would it ride comfortable??

bags are super soft sometimes too soft. So you might rub alot from going over bumps and such

As long as you get good bags it would be awesome for DD, there's a video of a s15 with bags thats set up for the track
Ride has as much to do with the damper as the spring

get coilovers then get a UAS bag system which replaces the spring on the coilovers... thats the only way to do it with coilover.. and thats what we lexus guys do it works great and handls too you can even drift on it. :bigok:

I've read of a subaru guy using the coilovers with bags....claimed he loved it. I always thought of bagging mine and doing a VIP theme on it, but I don't want to have to worry about blowing a bag driving down the highway(happened to a friends before).

That Air force Suspension looks to be a good Deal. I went by a local mini Truck Shop Here In Charlotte and they quoted me like $500 to bag My Convertible. They said they just order the parts piece by piece and put it together themselves.

you should do some research, there are a few depends on the setup. :wiggle: uas has bags that go over coils. k sport just came out with an air suspension kit complete with everything needed. or for the rich gangsters there is CANOVER from japan. its can air suspension. the coilover bag setup is stiff and durable. the k sport is good for the price and the fact that its complete. you dont have to fiddle and look for parts separately and peicing it together. the CANOVERS go for about 2-3 G just cans. ill try and post some pics....

or
just go Easystreet chapman struts.

okay everyone, i cant sleep :( so ill help out people that what to know more about air suspension...
Tank choices:
i have seen many types of thanks any thing from custom tanks to the cheapest, nitrus bottles drilled and welded up with fittings.
the most common is the normal tank style "double chode" which ranges from 3 gallons to god knows how big. they look like this. https://www.universalairsuspension.com/images/1.jpg
for people where space may be and issue there are pancake style tanks that work just as well but are shaped different, usually mounted in the tire compartment. and they look like this.
http://www.airrunnersystems.com/content/wp-content/uploads/2008/06/2889-pancake-tank-kit.jpg
Lets move to BAGS.
BAGS:
there are separate bags, cups, cans, and bag over coils.
this is what a free standing bag looks like. this is something we cant use, usually for domestics and trucks.
EXAMPLE:
https://www.universalairsuspension.com/images/2500conti.jpg
this is the UAS bag for mounting over a coilover setup. this replaces the springs on the coilover setup. this setup is the one that give you the most insane DROP you can ever want...
EXAMPLE:
https://www.universalairsuspension.com/images/aerosport.jpg
here is the CUP setup. not alot of people ma have heard or seen these but the cup is mounted on the top of the spring on the coilovers. you set the coilovers to the lowest you want the car with the cups not pumped. and also the lowest setting with the cups, not pumped can essentially be used on the track and the suspension acts like it would normally with no air.... then depending on the size (length) of the cup you get that much additional lift when you want your car raised. as far as i know some lambos and ferraries are using this setup.
EXAMPLE:
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c105/jzz30tt/IMG_7828.jpg?t=1224867247
for the true rich ass ballers we have CANOVER. these replace the shock and spring... the coilover is replaced compleatly. these are the most adjustable and most durable, fo rthe fact that if your tire is rubbing against it it will not wear it out causeing it to pop (develope a hole) like a bag would.
EXAMPLE:
http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p289/xnotoriousfobx/IMG_0767.jpg
here is the canovers on a SC

http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p289/xnotoriousfobx/SP_A0075.jpg
here is what a typical full setup looks like.

ok i just saw this shit
all you guys saying that air bags suck dick for track are dumbasses.
if you invest the time, and research, they are EVERY bit as good as a decent coilover, but twice as much....
not gonna lie at all. if you take the time, send the bag to someone that can get an appropriate comparative static spring rate at a specific psi, then revalve the coilover to that relative rate, you will be affectively riding on normal coilovers at the height.
i had zero, NO, bouncing, or other stupid shit going on with my airbag on cst setup.
clears wheels just like a normal coilover would, since the bag shoudl be residing ABOVE your tire level, just like a spring should.
all you guys talking shit, dont do it unless you know. for fucks sake, i drifted UP the diafuto ramp onto the expressway in my cedric.....with no problems.
and just to proove a point, i might just order bags for hte legacy and track it. or not. but its a possibility

who makes the cup style airbags?
that looks like the way to go.
As stated before, Roberuta makes cup style air suspensions. Also Air Force Suspension( Air Force Suspension (http://www.airforce-sus.com/) ) utilizes cup style as well. They're much cheaper than Roberuta as well.
With the cup style suspension it is not recommended to ride with air in the cups at high speed for long distance. This was developed more for cars to use when they need to get over a speed bump or a steep driveway and then lower afterward.

Some of you guys need to do the following
1) understand how your cars suspension is set up and works
2) learn about airbag suspension
3) learn about the different kinds of airbags available
4) make your own setups.
DO IT FAGS and stop talking shit.
me personally? id save the air suspension for trucks.

sc300fivespd, dont worry about it... yokota13 has a bad attitude ALWAYS...
i bought his air suspension off of him awhile back....
you can search the forums for it....
his customer service, quality of parts sold is questionable....
if he was more accommodating and apologetic i would be more understanding....but he is just full of excuses, one-way opinions, and selling off damaged parts.....his "word" is non-existent...
i know i'm not a expert by any means... but i KNOW there are many more qualified "experts" that have more objective thoughts on different products than yokota13
good luck on your suspension choices:wiggle:
