i broke an axle the other day. hit a curb.
Im in the process of putting the new one in and have everything in...almost (axle on diff and thru spindle, spindle on lower Control arm, etc) i just cant get the spindle to line up with the RUCA and the other brace to the left of that. If i bent the sub frame shouldnt it still line up? I have tried 2 S13 axles and still will not line up. We then tried to bolt everything to the spindle then put the axle and it wouldnt go on from the diff side. any help?

well it should be somewhat obvious is something is bent. perhaps you dont have the axle pushed in all the way. i'm not sure what angles you're talking about.

axle is pushed in all the way:confused: thats why i went to go get another one thinking it wasnt compressing all the way. if looking at the Hub/spindle on the driver side. Top control arm and top left support bar are being a bitch to put in. i can get the top (ruca) to ALMOST line up with the holes so i can get the screw thru but it just wont go. had 3 other friends come over and try to help. :bash:

For one thing, you're trying to put a spindle on the rear of the car.

What you mean is upright. Calling the part by it's correct name will help. I'm not following your explanation, is it just not twisting enough to line up right?

this is how bent the axle is.

because its that bent i cant even get the ball joint on the lower CA to line up there is about half an inch gap between the joint and the hole its suppose to go in.

if you've tried different axles then the output shaft on the diff is bent. That's pretty damn hard to do, they usually break at high impact, but if it all lines up with axle unbolted from the diff side then it's that or the diff is actually twisted, meaning the subframe took the force and bent. Doubtful though. You'd have sheared a mounting stud off before bending it.
