okay well each speed dies in different rpm levels but i know that my 4th speed dies at 48 or 5000 rpm 5th speed dies at 3600 rpm. i haven't had a problem with 1th- 3rd gear.i was thinking it was a vacuum leak but i could be wrong. also the car has a problem when it starts but its rare for it to happen i already put a new alternator.

Question What motor are you running what kinda of car? Then i will be happy to help. Also with your car dieing at certain speeds the motor you are running is a big factor on helping you out. So please post what motor you are running

Also u can have an unstable idle, boost spiking rich running conditions. these are all signs of a vacuum leak. Also if u have a vacuum gauge or boost gauge u will notice the vacuum reading will be lower then it will be usually. Gas mileage will also diminish.

have you even popped the hood and inspected the vac lines? or are you just simply asking us to diagnose your car with our crystal balls? Check behind the engine. Egr, inspect for cracks on the vac lines, make sure the diaphragm is engaging. could also possibly be the vac lines that require you to pull the intake mani. thats always fun, while ur there replace the intake gasket and change ur antifreeze, its almost winter.

If its dying like that check your fuel sources

U might have bad fuel injectors, spark plugs, or possibly do a compression check on the engine. u might just be fuck'd!!

Yea definately u need to check fuel pressure, and see if your plugs are goin bad. check your distributor cap and rotor. Check injectors if they are dirty. then post back.

sumwhere around 130 to 150 or a lil more and all cylinders should be pretty close to the same numbers.

okay cool thanks for the help ill post update tomorrow cuz im also installing my short shifter.

also i have a problem my gas pedal has a lag to it or u could call it play. its too loose and i know that should be the idle/acceleration cable does anybody know the factory set up or should i just tighten it up till it feels right

take it to the point where there is minimal slackness but it is not opening the throttle plate because that will bump up your idle and you dont want that.

ka24e's are known for their vacuum leaks..just remove all your vacuum and emissions - egr, aiv box..well everything besides your fpr, iacv and brake booster.. i plan to do this soon..heard only good things about it.. besides not passing inspections..but theres always ways around that.
