OK, so i plan on running at least anywhere form 400 to 450 to the wheels on a KAde-t. I plan on getting an act clutch kit but im not sure if i should go 4 or 6 puck and spring or un-sprung. Again this car will be a daily driver for a while.
plz give me some input to help me decide...
thank you

6 puck sprung hub xtreme duty pressure plate.
the 6 puck is harsh at first but you get use to it, same goes for the pressure plate.
the non sprung will have alot of chattering down low when going into gears. if you dont mind the chattering the go ahead.
also with a six puck you may have to rev it a lil before dis engaging the clutch.

Unsprung is really weight to the pedal, nothing else.
Pucked Clutches wear out quick for Daily Drivers.
Streets last much longer. 2x to 3x longer in some cases.

i would go with sprung if your more of the DD person.
unsprung is too harsh for the tranny.
if you dont have a track car then go with the sprung clutch kit

Sprung clutchs FTW!! even in track cars. I have ran the clutchmasters and the competition clutch stage 4 in my ka-t. Both were sprung 6-puc.
Can you tell me why you are set on a ACT clutch??

unsprung clutch is basically a on or off clutch. You want a sprung clutch if your DD.
Do some searching for a Fidanza they do a good video about clutches some where.
I also recommend you research a bit more about clutches before your set on buying clutch for KA-T just to make sure.

get the 6 puck. if its mostly DD'd then sprung.
if you beat on it mostly at the track then get unsprung. no worries of popping springs out :)
if you really wanna be hardcore i got a AP racing twin disk. its a 4 puck, copper ceramic, unsprung :) ....talk about an on/off switch. rev to 3-4k and dump it. make sure theres nothing in front of you either. lol.

Unsprung suck.
I had one in my suby. Shit grabbed hard but was pretty gay.
ORC Twin Plate is the only clutch you should get.
Best
