Ok, I figured since it's getting to be that time of year that My girlfriend
Liz (LIZMO on here) And I, as well as a few friends start HER 2JZ-GTE swap
AKA: "Project 300SX"
I have helped her since the day she got the car doing little things to it and it's all been on
her own doller and it's been all up to her as to what she wants and does to the car (With some of my insight)
The car started out as a 1993 Nissan 240SX Coupe When she got it from a friend of a friend it had a few little mods
- Climb sport springs and RS-R shocks, Silvia LSD, painted KA24DE, Old school Recaro seat (passenger)and ALOT of bad wiring/ghetto-rigging.

Well Let's face it a Automatic KA24DE is pretty slow. So we got to talking about doing a swap. I tried talking her into doing a CA18DET but we
wanted to keep the car automatic (what? YES AUTOMATIC) And it's very hard if not impossible to find a CA18DET and if we did the auto would kill
any power the car would make. So i said why not go big and do a 2JZGTE into the car (not thinking she would take it seriously) Well doing ALOT of
research on them we finally decided on doing a 2JZGTE into her 240sx.
She then started to order some new parts for the car and swap.
-Megan racing "street" coilovers
-Ebay F+R Sway bars,traction bars,RUCA,RLCA,front tension rods
-Ebay F+R Strut bars
-Polyurethane bushing kit (TOTAL KIT)

As of Saturday October 4th we were going to take the car to the 1/4 dragstrip to get a basline of what it runs with the KA24DE in
it stock to see what kind of improvement the car makes once the 2JZ is in it. well we got about half way there and we stopped to meet
up with some friends and when we got back on the freeway the car wouldn't shift out of 2nd Gear :( So That was the deciding point. IT'S Coming out!
thankfully about a week an a half prior to that she purchased the motor and Wensday Octorber 8th the motor showed up!
Car is currently in a friends shop getting some electrical work done to it. Then from there the car will be getting torn apart.
So look for more updates in the next few days as to what is going to be going on with the car.
We are hoping to have the car done by the end of March early April 2009 Looking to go into the 12 Second range in the 1/4 mile.
Car will be built to be a fun street and all around car. IT will see some drag strip time and alot of street duty and maybe even a few laps around
Road America but we will see how everything comes together.

The Swap will have the wiring done by Sean at Tech2Motorsports, The swap like i stated will be done by me and a few friends. The car still needs some parts
for the swap and to get the car road worthy but it should be a fun car once all is said and done. Hopefully then Next winter will be paint and body work on the car.

(Tuesday Oct. 14th)
Went out to my buddies place where we are doing the swap to check out a few things on the motor to start getting it squared away to do the swap. I look closely at pretty much
everything on the motor/trans and it all seems to be in good shape. Then i get to the ECU. The damn place sent me a ECU out of a 2JZGE (NON TURBO) so after a little while exchanging
phone calls back and forth and emails they agree to send me a new TT ecu once i send the N/a ecu out (tomarrow or saturday) I also noticed that the wire to the ignitor box is cut.
so now i have to either source an ignitor or have Sean @ Tech2 Find one and splice it into what harness i do have.

Well i made some more progess on the car Yesterday (Wed Oct. 15th)
Pulled the driveshaft out from under the car. started pulling the motor and trans. and a little while laterthe KA the car has been powered by has been taken out,
never to see a 4cyl. again. The car's engine bay was FILTHY so i used a can of brake clean to do one fender wall and a few other peices.Then i got kind of tired and went
to have some dinner and watch the presidential debate.

Well, got a little bit more done, ran into a few snags.
Came across a few broken suspension peices (Tie rods were junk, Stabalizer links are garbage and ball joints were bad) So We ordered new OE Ball joints and stabalizer links. Got some Tein Tie rods on the way with wicked tuning tie rod boots (should be here next week. Put in the new coilovers in the front and new polyurethane bushings. (will finish the rest of the front suspension when i get new parts (next week). Installed the new fuel lines to the driverside of the car (2JZ has intake mani/fuel rail on that side), removed the battery tray and a few other random things from the engine bay. Spray painted the engine bay flat black and then installed the Tech2 crossmember for the 2JZ swap.

Then i got a little bored and decided to remove the back seats and try and remove some of the sound deadning out of the trunk. :badboy

Well, haven't updated in a while. Haven't made any MAJOR progress but some IS better then none.
Got the front suspension all back together (Tein inner/outter Tie rods) Some Megan suspension peices. All new Poly urethane bushings. Bigger sway bar (STILL NEED TO BUY BUSHINGS AND INSTALL), New ball joints, New stabalizer links.painted the front Brake Calipers High-heat silver. looks pretty good imo.

Took the wiring harness off the 2JZ (PITA).will be sending the wiring in the next few weeks to get done. I still need to find the USDM injectors so i can have that all wired up as well.

GLWTB!! That's awesome that your GF it doing on her on coin and has been a part of the movement. I wish I had a GF like her lol. Can't wait to see what you guys have in store. I know yall have a lot on the to do list but is it getting kitted and painted aswell?
not 100% sure as far as aero, but it's either gonna keep the stock front bumper and do a Xenon lip, or maybe a Type X front end, some clean,simple side skirts and some rear valence, and painted a dark gray again, but that won't be till this time next year. i'd bet.

From a drag standpoint, auto trannies aren't very helpful until you're running low-11s or faster, and 330whp sure isn't gonna get you to that point.

We will see. i'm hoping for 12's out of the car should be pretty easy.

but i know this isn't a supra. But these mods 1. Downpipe 2. A'PEXi N1 Exhaust System 3. GReddy BCC 4. GReddy Profec B-Spec Electronic Boost Controller 5. 60mm Greddy Boost Gauge will give a 2JZ 460 Crank HP. And i have a few more mods, IC/BOV/Intake/etc

"Some have asked, what type of 1/4 mile ET and Trap Speeds should be expected. Trap Speed is the easiest indicator of true hp, with ET being much more driver dependent because the times are heavily changed by a good "launch". With this kit installed properly your car should run from 111-118mph in the 1/4 mile. If you can launch your car to a 1.8 60 ft. time, you may well be in the 11's on drag radials."

so take away 800-1000lbs from going from a heavy pig supra into a little S-Chassis. should be decent for 11's.

You've got a monster motor in there but the car isn't setup for anything... Not for drag, not for drifting, and not for roadcourse... From the outside it looks like a cheap 240 buildup with a huge motor that no one knows about...

And at 400WHP, It won't be faster than 240s with SRs and KAs...

That swap you are doing would be great for your girl if you were putting it into an older Lexus with an auto trans but in a 240 it just isn't accomplishing much...

Car does have a VLSD. out of a S13 Silva. i know the wheels are small, but HOPEFULLY with some Drag radials the car will get out of it's own way. And what kind of suspension setup would you reccomend? There is pretty much nothing suspension wise that is stock anymore. From what i heard the Megan coils arn't the best for drag use but they do work. Like i said this isn't a 1 thing only car. It will mostly be used for street use and having fun with other local car people.

and i'm curious as to how you say a 2JZ with a auto trans in a 240sx isn't accomplishing much.

Car is getting stock usdm twins, so they will stay like that for along time. the jdm twins are getting sold.

Your right 400HP Vs. 400HP in a S-Chassis is still 400HP doesn't matter what motor it makes it with. The 2JZ got the nod pretty much because they are bulletproof. and i don't have to worry much about shit breaking and nasty lag issues as if i had a big turbo KA or SR. And 400HP is what it will be right now, doesn't mean it won't go up in the future. The 15's i got might actually be 8's Cause when she got the wheels they were on tires already and when i took them off some people think there 8's so we will have to see. i plan on runnin the car on either a 235 or 255 M/T Et street which should be decent to get the power to the ground. And as far as BPU Auto times, there not that far off if not faster then the 6spd Supra's, I've been into the supra scene for quite a while now and stock to stock the auto's run the 1/4 mile faster.

THE FASTEST time all boost on stock twins through an auto is 10.59 @ 130mph

THE FASTEST time all boost on stock twins through a 6spd is 11.01 @ 125.9

so there not THAT slow.

Arrrgh, this is how Zilvia gets a bad name. If you don't know what you're talking about, don't speak, and better yet listen or research!(I know crazy idea) There ARE huge differences between 4 and 6 cylinder 400hp motors, its 100% ridiculous to think otherwise.
I say great build and Autos are the best for drag racing especially if you go big HP in the future. And with that motor its definitely a possibility.
For those that don't know what torque or a torque curve is look it up, you'll find one big difference between SR KA 2JZ. Turbo lag and Exhaust volume is another. And look up cylinder head flow rates...etc.
Good luck with the build, "but I think you should put a gxr1300 motor in your 240 and get 400hp on turbo and nitrous... cause it'll be just as fast! hahah or maybe a geo metro 3 cylinder turbo! or just turbo your lawn mower!!! Then you could haul ass and cut the grass!"

No... They are different motors with different powerbands...

But horsepower and torque are horsepower and torque...

I used to work with engine importers and there were a ton of people who wanted Supra swaps but the only way they could afford it was with an auto trans because the front clip is so much cheaper... $3000 versus $5500 for a 6 speed clip... But that motor at BPU HP level is not that impressive for the amount of money and trouble... But at higher HP levels it is amazing... That's the territory that SR/KAs can't touch...

What you are getting though is a very reliable 450WHP... But you are paying for it...

If I had this project I would:
1. Sell the suspension pieces and replace the bushings in the stock arms... Run stock shocks and springs as well... That car isn't going to be handling corners that well anyways... Especially with an auto...
2. Widen the rear fenders and get some cheap 17x9.5 +15 wheels with 255-40-17 drag radials...
3. Get some kind of launch control and a line lock...

And I would have made it manual using 1JZ parts but I know you want to keep it auto...

With that motor the car will be good for only one thing... So help it go in a straight line...

1. my car handled really good around turns w/ the suspension it had, and being auto. so idk what your talking about it not handleing good cuz its auto...
2. i plan on getting drag radials. and its staying w/ the 15inch wheels.

Had a friend who is good at welding come out and fix a few little problems that needed to be fixed. The core support had a little crack he fixed that, did some welding on the strut towers and a few other little things.

I've also got the Driveshaft, the wiring done by Tech 2 motorsports (waiting to install)
I have installed the new USDM waterpump and new serp belt and a new timing belt, as well as lightweight aluminum pulleys. I got the spark plug painted the same color as the wheels and installed that.

had to order a few other things (3" T-bolt clamps, and 2.5" T-bolt clamps), a Greddy Speed cut control (dam JDM Ecu's hit speed cut at 111mph so that had to be taken care of. some new DP bolts and gaskets, as well as some roll cage gauge pods...

went out last night and finished up the wiring and finished doing the fuel lines. hooked all the battery cables up. tried to crank it, and NOTHING :( shitty. well we then checked to see if the starter had power going to it and it was good, then we found a connecter had 0 power, so we decided to go ahead and jump it to see if it started!

first click as soon as it hit it started! and ran awesome for >30 seconds it ran :D
today i will have to figure out why the wire is dead and make that work. finish mounting up the Intercooler,put the fuel filter in. and i will be happy if it starts at will :D then i'll have to start on the radiator and fans and the radiator hoses.

haha, yeah my buddy kevin wrote that on the window. and i'm using stock USDM turbo's on it. a little word of advice, if you get a 2JZ and you want a better turbo setup just go single right away, too many fucking hassles and money going stock us turbos, i thought it would be a cheap way of getting 400+RWHP ehhhhhhhhhh wrong

Been doing more work on the car, got the Oil press. gauge almost all ran, got a Flex a lite fan controller all hooked up, got the radiator mounted, trans cooler mounted, all new hoses for the trans cooler and radiator. got the bov welded on, got a few other things done here and there.

it was loading up with fuel and not really goin anywhere (it needs a tune, should be going to sound performance soon) And it developed a cooling issue that we had to adress, so we figured might as well just call and get it towed home rather then potentially doing more harm to it.

and before anyone comes in here saying needs more low, well it can't. the sway bar spacer it has on it so the sway bar clears the oil pan makes the sway bar rub the front tension rod if it's any lower then it is :ghey: but i'm thinking of going back to stock sway bars to set the car down some more.

quick rundown of mods.

3" Tanabe Downpipe,Godspeed Intercooler W/ custom piping,Custom Intake pipe with K&N Filter,550cc USDM supra injectors,USDM Twin turbos, J-spec cams. So the car is mostly stock and UNTUNED. on stock boost (6-8psi)

It will have the usdm cam's in the car in the next week or two,along with a boost controller set to 17psi and exhaust and a few other things :)

i think they just look beefy do to the "small rim" and the fact that most 240sx guy's are into the streched look, where the goal for this one is to try and hook.

205.55.15 on the front
225.50.15 on the rear

on a 15x7. i don't think with another 10+ psi of boost a 225 drag radial is gonna hook.

nope no modifications needed for the firewall. We used the Tech2 kit.

Awesome build. Dont worry about people saying it isnt much faster than other 400whp ka/sr's. 9/10 of them that you run into are running t25/t28's or t3t4's at 10psi. Also nothing sounds like an I6 in comparison to any 4 cylinder no matter how built they are.
yeah, we didn't do it to be the fastest 240sx around just one of the most reliable fast ones by us.

400whp KA/SR on stock bottom end is a ticking time bomb, and this car should do 370ish at the wheels mostly stock. :naughtyd:

i call tech 2 all the time, i just dont have any doh right now my only option and i think my best bet would be just 2 send them the whole harness and have them go over it. sean's good ! Doctor tweak is the one who originaly did my harness and they fired him because random shit like whats hapening to me, would happen to peoples cars, the 2jz is a god among engines but its weak link is that if one little sensor or wiring thing isant right it wont run 100% to protect itself,( witch is a pain but a good thing i guess ) but other than that the only other thing i can think of is just not to go cheap on a clutch .... wich leads me to my next question ...... i know its an auto... but make sure u have it serviced even the auto's can develop crank walk because of the tanny ....

We have had the car at A-spec tuning for the last month or so now. they did a cam swap (stock jdm cams to stock usdm cams) Wired up a AFC NEO, NGK Wideband,Greddy Profec B,Turbo timer,and ended up swapping out my hks ssqv for a Tial bov (HKS is for sale for $120 shipped ;) )

the car went on the dyno with the the old HKS ssqv, but the intercooler piping kept blowing off, and the c-clip on the bov kept making the bov come off the car at about 4500rpm, so we couldn't get a full pass or even a complete tune put on the car.

yeah it willl be lower in spring.

the front tension rod rubs the sway bar.

it only rubs cause the sway bar is a larger aftermarket one, and cause there is a spacer so the sway bar doesn't rub on the oil pan.

Sounds like a good time, i think going with a 5spd would be a lot easier then trying to get this auto to shift when it needs to, but oh well we will get it.

it's a godspeed intercooler that i got off ebay.

and the intercooler piping is for the MKIV supra. that was also purchased off ebay. it may be a CX racing i honestly don't remember anymore.

Placed a few orders over the last few days.

- Magnetic oil drain plug
- Precision Billet 6265 .68a/r S cover
- Treadstone turbo manifold
- Boost Logic oil feed and return lines
- Boost logic T4 turbo blanket.

:D should be a fun week or so once i get everything.

Also finished hooking up some heater hoses on the car and did some more cleaning, removed the front bumper and a few other small things, more pics later this week.

i blocked off some coolant ports and what not.
Got all the heater hoses and what not hooked up.
i blocked off the port on the engine block and started running the oil feed/return lines.

did some work on the coupe.

Liz plumbed the wastegate/boost controller.
got the manifold all on and set. got all the oil feed/return lines done.
got the down pipe a few days ago and wrapped that and installed it. also used some heat wrapping stuff on the fuel lines and the heater hose. made a sheet metal cover going over the ugly passenger factory battery tray. tightened up some wires/hoses that weren't 100% done. plumbed the oil catch can lines but haven't put them on the valve covers do to still polishing them. Also made a bracket for the new earls trans cooler.

placed a order on Sunday for some new couplers got the wrong length one with the last shipment, so got to wait for that,also ordered a 4" Intake pipe. gonna plumb and mount the oil cooler next weekend. and put the new couplers on, also ordered a Eagle auto 160amp Alternator, hopefully that will keep all the electrical gadgets working. planned out how to do some of the ducting to the oil/trans coolers. so that is still on the too do list.

Took it to a friends shop for a dyno day. thought hey why the hell not put it up there see what it will do.

(As you can see/hear the car hit 2 boost/fuel cuts cause the guy's ran the car in 3rd gear instead of overdrive cause the overdrive was not working at this time. So it made 408whp 368Tq. on 15psi untuned with a bad trans and the break up)

we had a trans issue when we got the car back together. ended up putting a new trans in it (another auto) That still didn't seem to fix it, so we tried a friends ecu, that wasen't it. started going back through the wiring and found out the shifter/od wasen't getting power. :bash:

but now that it is fixed the car runs a WHOLE HELL OF ALOT STRONGER. (feels like with a proper transmission and no breakup like it gained an easy 40whp)

random thought.. but I like the name sc240 more than 300sx,
just because 300sx makes me think of a vg30 powered 240,
or some other type of z32/240sx hybrid X)

And after all this talk about dragging, has the car hit the strip yet?
No, the car never made it to the drag strip. we were chasing down a few electrical issues and computer gremlins that wouldn't have made the drag strip much fun, we have a "Test pad" that we mark off a 1/4 mile area and the car hits the speed limiter before being near the 1/4 mile mark, and the limiter hits like 115mph. and that is just leaving off idle and then getting into the car after its rolling.

Get ready for a large update.

So, since my last post alot has gone on both for better and for the worst.
had the car out on the street a few more weeks, ran into a good friend of mine who has a high 10 low 11 second evo and ended up involving ourselves in a unnecessary contest of speed :coold:i felt pretty good about the lil 240 that could hold his own. about 2 weeks after that the car stalled at a stop light and shut off, i started the car up and limped it off the road.... car red 9.7-10.3 AFR's what the shit. shut it off checked a few things, everything looked alright, tried starting it and everything was fine again...so i brought the car home and looked at it some more, all the plus smelled of fuel, the oil cap, everything... so with that happening i was stuck scratching my head. What do i do? try some cheap/stock fixes to get the car back out for the rest of the season (this was early october) or just say hell with it. I chose the latter.

parked the car, put it away for the year to get a early jump start on this winters build. Which was to consist of Silvia S13 Front end conversion, Chaser Aero Instant gentleman, and a bigger fuel system a MAPECU2 computer system, and repairing much of the body work that was damaged by previous owners.

i had some friends stop over who are good with body work, and sent some pics to different shops and people who have seen the car in the past, got quotes from between 3-5K to do a roof swap new core support and new rear 1/4panel work. bummer. so i looked for a shell or a cheap coupe on here, and a few day's later i came across an amazing find.

Found this GEM on the North Carolina Craigslist as soon as i saw it i made a phone call, talked to the guy, told me how he acquired the car and couldn't keep it. he sent me more photos and we talked about an arraignment for me to fly out there from Wisconsin to pick it up and bring it back to Wisconsin. He then told me he has family about 25 minutes from me! WOW! what was the chance of that. And that he can/will deliver it as long as i give him some extra cash. we agreed on a price and the next week the car was here in Wisconsin! :coold:

**** I know this will piss alot of people off, but it was in our price range, and we wanted a stock unmolested coupe, that we could start from scratch and take care of any loose ends and make it truly awesome!****

So we decided, we are going to put most of the stuff from the Gray coupe into this new white one, we will be upgrading and changing out a few parts and pieces as we go. We are still undecided what to do with the gray car once it's stripped and the white cars running gear, it might find it's way into the gray car, or it might be sold off, who knows?

This is pretty much where we are at now.

We took apart the front end of the car as well as the rear bumper cause we were planning on installing the aero kit on this car, that won't be happening anymore so that will be taken care of later.

I removed the East bear roll cage and put it on a few local forums for sale, as of right now it is good as sold! :D and the factory ignitor box, injector resistor box, the boost controller and many other accessories. going to try and clean this bay up on the new car even more then the old one was done.

Also removed the factory intake manifold (upper) to get at the fuel injectors/rail/regulator which will all be upgraded to the Fuel Injector Clinic dual -6AN feeds, FIC 750CC injectors. and Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator That Jordan @Defined Performance (http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#%21/pages/Defined-Performance/161886554194) will be supplying me.

On Black friday we picked up a MAPECU2 from Robert and Dusty @ MVP Motorsports (http://www.MVPmotorsports.com) :D so that is just another step closer!

Last summer we also picked up a set of used Q45 Brake Calipers from a member on here ( ) Thanks those will be a huge upgrade over stock! We have also been collecting silvia front end stuff, most of which have been purchased through users here on Zilvia (oem metal fenders,Bricks,Oem Corner lights) still in need of a GT-R grill and headlight brackets and a hood. Also picked up a password JDM cooling panel from Tommy and the guy's at www.ILLGarage.com (http://www.ILLGarage.com)

Got a bunch of stuff done on the two cars over the weekend.

Saturday -

Started off working on the 93 Gray coupe that has the 2JZ in it. We finished removing all the gauges and gauge wiring as well as the Greddy boost and speed cut controllers. and kept removing some of the other interior pieces that will find there way into the 89.

Then starting working on the engine. pulled the rest of the fuel rail and stuff off the car, ready to be sent off to the next owner.

i got my new fuel injector clinic fuel rail/fpr/and injectors (750cc) and decided to install that into my freshly painted intake manifold and then install it onto the 2JZ.
also installed my new 750cc injectors onto their new fuel rail! its gonna be getting 2 AN line fuel lines as well.. thatll be fun to do lol. and another walbro and FPR.

Also i mounted the Brake and gas pedal. inside the car as well as routed the battery cable through an existing hole (clutch) in the firewall, then through the center console out to the trunk where the battery will be mounted.

i am going to be painting and installing the brake booster this week and try and get a few other little things finished up.

Car gets shipped out to clocks off racing. for the cage,rust removal and lower radiator support fix as well as the fenders rolled and a slight pull. and should be back in about a week.

Thanks, I have had no problems with the extra weight. every thing has been fine the car has Megan street coilovers. seems fine for about 3-5k miles and 3 years its been done.

i bought the chaser aero "supermade" IG kit. the front bumpers are "CLOSE" and the rear is ehh. and the sides arent that great. i mightjust run the front bumper this year then do the full kit over the winter with the paint and body.

Had a busy weekend, got the stock tq convertor removed from the trans and installed the new Titan 3500 stall convertor.

we re assembled the motor/trans and decided to put the motor in the car.

Started hooking up some of the accesories for the motor. starting with the power steering. The braided SS line is made by ISIS. i will swapping this out for a custom one later this year that i will begin to market. the other pressure line is just a stock line. the 2 low pressure lines are just stock or any off the shelf rubber line.

i then went ahead and worked on the heater hose. the upper hose just consists of 2 90 degree hoses and a connector. and then i heat wrapped them in a reflective heat sheth.

Got pretty much everything ready except some gauges and went to fire the car....CRANK.....CRANK.......CRANK.... no start. Noticed car wasen't getting a RPM signal and had to rewire the MAPECU2 up the correct way. Went to start again....same thing (atleast there was a RPM signal) Noted there was less then 6psi of fuel pressure went back through noticed a few mistakes and i have to correct that this weekend. thats it "for now" hopefully a startup/driving vid next week!

*One request tho...could you please....PLEEEAAASSE show/take a pic of how your downpipe is routed under the car. I'm planing on going with a 1jz or 2jz after i get a second dd. My car is relatively low and i figure with a 3in exhaust crossed under the car would be trick unless I go with oval exhaust piping.

It's all 100% custom.

all the fittings are Red Horse Racing, the lines are Goodridge lines all purchased through High Performance Steel Braided Hose | Hose Ends | Aluminum Hose Fittings | Brake Lines | Orme Brothers High Performance Automotive Accessories - (http://www.ormebrothers.com)

the Injectors are 750cc injectors from Fuel Injector Clinic as is the rail and the pigtails. The Fuel filters are Russell's and the FPR is an Aeromotive.

2 -6AN Feeds (one off each Walrbo 255) all the way to the rail (1 Filter per line) then -6AN Return to the tank.

During the test drives found out the coolant temp gauge wasen't working. neither was the trans temp. must fix those as well as the car developing a few leaks. but it is getting there!

Nice! You're lucky to be able to share this together. I love my wife to death but she doesn't want the slightest bit to do with the work end of playing with cars; although she loves to ride. Eh, I don't like the whole cookie cutter idea, Nardi wheels look great they have their place... i just think to many people jump on the Nardi/Bride/illest/hellaflush wagon. and that many people building the same "basic" cars they all blend in.

Not to much new,

been dealing with an on going fuel issue, between the feed line getting a splice in it from the top hat to the fuel pump, and a issue with the car popping the fuse for the 2nd fuel pump we have decided to take out the Twin Walbro 255 fuel pumps in place of a Single Bosch 044 fuel pump (intank) we will be doing that this winter, as well as finishing up a Q45 brake setup, as well as upgrading to a TRD thermostat, Flex-a-lite slim fans, and a DIF fan controller.

Cost it all depends, i think if you were good with finding deals, mechanically inclinded and did a ton of research it could be done for less then $5k. it's just as reliable as you make it. I've had issues with stupid little things that happen with swapped cars, no motor issues.

Yup i started my 1JZ Swap in April & guys i know locally ask me why its taking me so long & im like its not a SR Swap....You need to do alot of extra things to get it functionable & working adequently

the w58 will work, but isn't known for holding power for very long. if you're just doing a stock swap, a w58 should work with a good clutch, but if you plan on modding i'd get an r154.

i wouldn't even think of running a W58 however there is a guy on supraforums that somehow runs high 10s on a w58. go r154 off the bat.

you have any info on wiring that dakota digital box for the speedo? ive been messing with mine all day and cant get it right. ive got the marlin crawler speed sensor and am unsure of the switch configuration and which output on the box to use. pretty sure i have the correct wire on the cluster (yellow w/green tracer) but if you can help me out that'd be awesome

That's not too terribly priced. You'll have to buy a 1jz flywheel, 1jz bellhousing, and a 7mgte clutch to make it mate to the 2jz. As for the engine just look at some of the major importers.

It's my friend Jim's truck (600SX on here he has a LS2 S14) I've been in the truck a few times and i LOVE IT! My mom also has a 2008 Toyota Sequoia (the SUV version of the tundra) And i love that thing as well. I'm saving some money to hopefully find one in the next year or two.

I'm running a SSauto manifold. They guy I bought it from was pushing 700+ hp on it. You just have to weld some braces on it to reinforce it.

Sorry for the late response but that IC should work just fine. I have all -6AN fuel lines from the Fuel tank up to the fuel rail with no banjo bolts/fittings. When i was on stock lines i used the factory supra rail/fittings, and some off the shelf fuel line from napa.

Had the car up and running for a few short months, seemed to be one issue after another with the new tuning software and the fuel system as well just being in a whole new car in general. But we got a few things sorted out and made some decisions to go bigger on some stuff this winter and removing somethings to go back to "simplicity"

We took the mapecu2 out of the car and Sold it to a SF member, We will be installing the AEM EMS Version 2 in the next couple of weeks.
We are also taking out the dual walbro 255's setup in favor for one Deatchwerks DW300 fuel pump as we have decided the car will never make the switch to E85, and just live life as a small turbo pump gas terror. With the adjustments to the fuel pump some of the fuel system stuff will be redone. We are also going with a TRD 160 thermostat (stock is 180) in hopes of helping the car run a little cooler. As well as swapping out the current e-fans for a set of FAL slim fan (series 420) with the FAL fan controller. Also on the list of "To Do" is finish the rest of the Q45 brake upgrade on the front. As well as a few other minor things here and there.

The plan is to have the car back up and running in early spring (March/April) and have it tuned in around them by Larry @ Sound Performance and let the car run for the rest of the year, Hopefully it all works out that way.

Worked on the car some this past weekend, Pulled the radiator,fans out of the car,as well as the upper waterneck as i plan on modifying that some more then i already have.
Also removed the power steering pump as the old one was getting quite loud. Also installed a K&N 3/4" Breaher on top of the valve cover as i've always just had it open and wanted to clean it up some.

Placed an order last weekend for the Flex-A-Lite 420 series electric fans. Which showed up yesterday, Big thanks to FRSport.

Also picked up a DIF PWM Fan controller from Phase2motortrend just waiting for that to show up! Also got the new power steering pump picked up so that will have to be installed this weekend, Also got lucky and found a used S13 fuel sending unit that will get installed shortly along with the new Deatchwerks DW300 fuel pump. Will be placing an order this weekend for a TRD thermostat which should finish off the cooling system.

I've had my Precision 6265 up for sale for a couple weeks finally found a buyer, so i went ahead and purchased a new Precision 6266 .68A/r T4 flange with the Anti-Surge and getting it polished and coated just like the old one was. Looking forward to that! Big thanks to Sound Performance for giving me a KILLER deal on it. 2012 is really starting to look like a big year.

Been on the prowl for a while for some new wheels....think i found some... time will tell.

i guess im trying to figure out this swap. single turbo 2jz and glowshit gauges? ok...leaving the diagnostic port on it? uhhh sure... oem IAC that are prone to breaking? ok...

None of it makes sense. seems like alot of corners were and it was built because it was a 2jz and a girl drives it...

No sir, There is no "easy" way to delete the A/c compressor without making custom bracketry to keep the power steering pump working, So i will be looking at removing the A/c at a later time.

This car is what made me remember that 15"s can still look cool with meatier tires.

Haha, yeah that cars pretty damn impressive. Believe it or not this car has virtually 0 traction issues as long as it isn't below 40 degrees out. We haven't tried to activly lauch the car heavily (yet) but from 10-15mph rolls it is fine.

It's like any other "Drift button" You take off the factory e-brake boot and remove the spring(s) from the button and then slide this over the existing button.

When the drift button is pushed in it will leave the handbrake inactivated even when pulled up, when the drift button is pulled out the handbrake will lock when pulled up.

But since this car isn't built for "drifting" i just simply slid this button ove the existing ebrake button, purly for astetic reasons.

Yeah, it's a stock aristo Auto. Earls trans cooler, and a Titan 3500 Stall.

The manifold i have is a Treadstone, i've seen a ton of off the shelf T4 manifolds fit. look at a XS-Power or something like that. Just brace it and clean out the slag.

Fwiw, there's a thread on supraforums with a cleaned up treadstone manifold making 748+ whp...

Didnt know there were different brackets. I just unbolted mine and threw it away. still have the powersteering pump. Hmmmm anyways car looks good!! Love the fact its a 2j :)

Worked on the car this past weekend. Went to install the new fans (Flex a lite 420) and TRD thermostat as well as the new modified and painted upper waterneck.

ran into a few issues, found out the serp. belt tensioner was bad, New one is now on. Went to install radiator it hit...first the waterpump tip, and then the A/c pulley. so we went ahead and removed the A/c, Grinded the water pump tip and the studs holding the pulley on and now they fit!
