hello

well, this is going to sound like a stupid question and i did search and found nothing because i fail at life.

so, aside from anyone wanting to flame me i helped you out.

what other nissan models have the vlsd input shaft that'll work in a 240sx? from what i've been reading all you need is the input shaft to be able to use an vlsd in an open diff. also, what does this input shaft even look like, i looked around and tried yahoo image search and got nothing as well.....

wanting to go from an open diff, to an 2 way diff. that requires an vlsd to begin with. my family mechanic stopped doing work so i'm assed out and gotta do it myself now lol.... =/

some help would be great

thanks

haha,

how did you find an old 2 way that requires two left vlsd input shafts?

i used two from a j30 i was lucky enough to steal from the salvage yard.

Any model with an R200V and 3channel ABS. So basically the J30, S13, and S14. The Z32 and Q45 have 4channel ABS with the longer output shafts and shaft mounted ABS sensors.

oh, well my car doesnt have abs. but that wouldnt matter would it since it's the differential not brakes and stuff.

ima hit up the junkyards and look for a j30!

thanks

there are quite a few write-ups. but do be aware that the LSD was available on the ABS equipped models...the ABS Diff is a tad longer due to the ABS sensor. Your Stock shaft will give a bit but keep a look out for a new carrier in the future.
