Cali is a big state and the closest trans-continental state to Japan. It's no surprise that there will be a big gathering of 240 owners from Cali (SoCal or NorCal).

I honestly don't know where Zilvia originiated from...for some reason I want to think Colorado, but I could be wrong.

I think it has to do with the large amount of people in California.

Southern California is basically one giant sprawling neighbor hood.

There is a 240 specific meet within an hour of my house about 5 days a week.

Multiple tracks

LA auto show.

Port of Long Beach.

Most of the car headquarters and R&D.

California IS America's car culture.

Put that and the dense population here, and you have enthusiest galore.

So that's why the population on zilvia seems predominatly CA people.

i would think alot of Honda and Toyota forums are like that as well.

and I bet the VW and Subie forums are mainly all the northern states?? lol

Plus California is just awsome, see you all in 2010 :)

Zilvia is based in the Denver, Colorado metro area and is owned by West and myself.

Our servers are housed in a secure bunker at an undisclosed location.

Revenue? :bowrofl:

The revenue that we make all goes back to paying for our servers (we own them, instead of using server hosting), some various Amazon cloud computing services, paying rent at the bunker, software and covering bandwidth costs. We are coming close to using almost 1TB (terabyte) of bandwidth per month.

Then don't start. There has been problems in SoCal from the very begining. The car culture has always been here and the Law has always tried to control it.

From Lowriders in the 50's, to lowriders nowdays.
Motorcycle gangs in the 60's to modern sports bikes in the canyon and stuntin.
From James Dean tuning his vehicle and practicing on Mulholland to Paul Newman racing through the canyons.
Hot rods, rat rods, 50's cars and cruising.

Media didnt create the car culture vs. the Law that we have in SoCal. Its always been here, and every new car scene, tries to get around it with new things, and then they retaliate back.

You cant blame the Media.

So Cal rules the friggin world! Deny it if you want but there is no arguing with sunny days, abundant racetracks, and track events all year long! The only competition is Nor Cal. DOPE ass canyons all over the place, still mostly sunny, and the whole racetrack and track event thing. Cali FTW!!! Admit it, if you weren't sooooo afraid of smog you would want to be here too! LOL! :s101:

Ok now more serious. What everyone has said about being the closest to japan and on the front edge of style is totally true. The entire US automotive aftermarket industry is based mostly out of cali as well. Cali started modified imports and hell cali started street and drag racing in general back in the 50's and 60's. Which actually makes you look more retarded than you claim California is. Which clearly makes people think you have serious social issues.
I suggest you get some therapy for this intense hatred of California since its based from afar and you have never lived here.

California while not the closest place to Japan actually had the highest number of sales for 240sx's and Z cars hence why a lot of members are from here.

Damn canyon roads are always clogged up these days, and potholes are really getting out of hand. At least that's the case around Mullholland and Sunset. Hopefully you know of some better roads without having to drive all the way to Angel's Crest.

Southern California alone is home to as many people as Holland and Switzerland combined. It's something like the 5th largest economy in the world. The ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach are arguably the largest recipients of Asian exports in the world.

LOL dude you live in midwest. The New Madrid fault runs right through you guys. The last time it went in the 1800's it altered the course of the Mississippi . LOL The estimated strength of that quake was over 8.0 on the Richter scale.

I was in the Loma Prieta quake, 7.2 on the Richter scale. What you guys don't realize is we are prepared for that shit.
Our buildings are built to withstand Earthquakes and the older ones have had reinforcements. On the other hand none of the building in the Midwest are built to Earthquake standards.

Katrina style? LOL I would rather have some buildings fall than have the everything blown away and flooded. Seriously that article is all about a web writer needed something sensational to write about so people will come to the site. LOL

Plus Socal is more overdue for a large quake than Norcal is. The San Andreas done here has not gone off big in over 100 years. Ever heard of the Palmdale bulge? Yup that's the San Andreas baby and it runs smack through Palmdale. The bulge is the pressure thats built up.
Regardless Earthquakes do not scare me. Been through major ones. If you can't handle them don't live in California.

California Is Due for a Katrina-Style Disaster | Wired Science from Wired.com (http://blog.wired.com/wiredscience/2008/10/california-is-d.html)

I'll take an earthquake every now and thenbefore I would take a crapload of tornado's every single year.

LOL dude you live in midwest. The New Madrid fault runs right through you guys. The last time it went in the 1800's it altered the course of the Mississippi . LOL The estimated strength of that quake was over 8.0 on the Richter scale.

PM him.

PM him.

Actually, it appears that he and several others have tried without resolution to get the OP, evidence to that can be found on the OP's profile:
http://zilvia.net/f/members/xtreme-2.html
Because of that, I am going to ban the OP from the marketplace until he makes right, effective immediately.

Dude, the guy you are trying to get a hold of only has one post in this thread. This isn't going to work. If the guy doesn't respond to PM's or e-mails, why would he respond to an old ass thread. Maybe if you could find a thread that he was currently active in this could get you somewhere.

He tried that too, here (http://zilvia.net/f/sale-items/223308-parting-out-92-se-coupe-need-all-gone-quick-make-offers.html), but the OP is apparently ducking people, that is why he is banned from the marketplace.

im talkin about since the late 90s-early 00 things werent as bad for import car enthusiests.

are you kidding? this is after the Honda guys have been drag racing on public streets, making the cops aware of imports, and after the first Fast and the Furious movies that lit a fire under douchebags to jump onto the scene and euro tail light that shit up.

angry? :snoop::snoop:

no, jealous,lol, jk.

that and the part about keeping the stock engine in the garage in case you get pulled over, ever. and emissions testing. rofl

Well, when your states population and the amount of cars on the road is not even one tenth of California's I can see why your state does not care about there environment. Plus most other states don't have anything that the environmentalist deem worthy of protecting with such laws.
California has numerous National Parks, mountains, beaches, not to mention we are responsible for something like half of the nations fruits and other agriculture?
So keeping a stock motor in our garage just means some people who live out here give a fuck. :l101:

oh man.

norcal sucks so hard its not even funny.

enkei mesh and megan coilovers is cool around these parts.

I lived most of my life in Norcal, and this statement is totally true, norcal is so far behind So cal with everything, even fashion, norcal just found out about vans, dunks, a few years ago, and they needed a song to tell them that what ugg boots were. The car scene is just as bad up there. Most decent cars up the are own by people who used to live in so cal, or have friends in so cal.

Hella norcal.

How many people from nor cal does it take to change a light bulb?...........HELLA

Don't even start, camaros and shitty trucks are cool around my parts.

Central Cali is pleagued by this as well. Almost 6 out of ten vehicles are trucks, half of those are body dropped on baggs the other half, you can park your car under. than the other three are domestics with cheap big wheels on them like 300s, magnums, cameros and ofcorse the 5.0s.

shut the fuck up dont you think i tried that im trying to reach this guy as best as i can
I understand your bitter, but you can't just go dropping the f bomb on people cause they pointed out the truth. It is not like you stated the fact that he has been ducking and dodging you before you opened this shit back up.

This is so true. I moved to Selma last month and am always in Fresno and Visalia. So many ghetto ass people here, 10x worse than SoCal.
