I'm curious of the same thing. I bought the new Origin 40mm s13 silvia fronts and they suck a fat one. The drivers side fit allright but the passenger side sat way over the hood levei, was 1 inch too short, and flared out less than the other side. The only side that was truly 40mm wider was the drivers side.

dmax fenders fit sooo good. Its almost too good to be true.
I'm only running the fronts rears are origin.
Origin could fit a little better. But its all good.

hmmm...good post- I was curious also.
Planned on getting Origin seeing as how everyone I've seen says they Fit Great (F & R overs)

hmm...DMaX are not that expensive but would rather have them Shipped w/ EVERYTHINg else I was planning from origin.

I've been looking at 40mm fronts as well. I prefer the look of the Origin over the Dmax, just because it sits flush at the door line instead of the "stepped" look of the DMax.

I definitely don't like hearing that the Origins were that far off from fitting though. :-/

I have to say my Bmagic s14 kouki fenders fit waaayyyy better than the Origin 40mm. Don't waste your money. I'll post pics tonight.

It's hard to picture the shityness but here are some of the issues. By the way I'm not one of those people that expect fiberglass parts to bolt on right out of the box and fit like OEM but real stuff should fit halfway decent. I spent about 3 hrs on the passenger fender alone and made it ok but still looks horrible.

This front setup is 18x10.5 et+7 with a fresh alignment and -4 degrees camber. The car has never been recked and is straight as an arrow.
Drivers side.

Passengers side.

More poo. This corner actually curves under the hood a little.(looks way worse in person, hard to capture with a camera)
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m53/95silvia06/IMG_2817.jpg

I had to cut the entire upper ledge off because it was way too tall. The hood is OEM and the fender stuck up about 1/2 an inch above it. So I riveted brackets to the inside.

It kind of seems that Origin made a name for themselves and quality control went down hill. The only reason I say that is my rear overs fit good and my stylish kit fit good all of which I bought 2 years ago and now these that I bought 5 months ago fit like junk. But I don't know it could be inconsistency.

None. California is simply the worst place to try to find parts for your japanese car. There are no US offices or distributors here. Nothing is ever in stock. Everyone here is behind the game on the latest styling and wheels. Nobody know how to dyno or do motorswaps here either. No car shows. No nothing. California like I said...the worst place to be to find stuff for you japanese car.

OMG...dude,take a peek @ the For sale Section...Every 240sx owned is in cali & every part for sale is IN CALI.
theres more shops there that can get the stuff locally and people to buy it from, then Half the US.
Come on over to N.C and I'll show you being "behind" on Style, wheels.

------------------------------------------------------

anyway,...so B magic Fits good...in the 3 I've of course been studying - 4th now being DMAX...which ones can we rule pretty good Front Fender fitment.
1.Version Select
2:origin - we seem to have a vote the front fenders BLOW
3:Bmagic

Dmax fronts now that someone mentioned it look a tad weird where it meets the door. Not Sure I dig that either.I'll probably Fill the Vent on which ever fenders I get - though its there to keep the "parachute" effect Down.

As far as those exotic japanese kits that you see in option/drift tengoku/japanese automotive mag that don't have us distributors. Don't even think about someone here that will import it for you. All that is available in the us is bomex, vertex and chargspeed , and now dmax. :( and origin and version select. It's pretty much impossible to get any of those other kits here. (does much out there even really out there?) Sucks You are all stuck with only these options. Really sucks if you ask me. Oh how I wish I could get masa, vanquish, feiz, aero palace, sequential, Top garage, etc. here in the states :(

Anyone looking to make these other options available for the us market? I'm tired of looking just like the next guy. Even joe redneck from bfe the south can get the same kit and look like he or she looks like he knows whats going on a kit that does not look as defualt.

wow this thread has taken a huge turn from me looking for replys on how fenders fit.

we all know that the us market for japanese areo parts and parts in general SUCKS!

but who needs a us market for it? you think its expensive now...think about how much higher it would be for a distributer here to sell it?

get a job, save your money, find someone in japan or like someone above me quoted...find the internet!

Actually, most of the aero kit you see in DoriTen or Options are available in the U.S., as long as you LOOK for the right importer. I've brought in Masa Motorsports, Vanquish, and Sequential before, and I am currently working on bringing in TRA Kyoto (Rocket Bunny). HOWEVER, you don't see these brands all over the place because no one wants to pay the higher prices involved with shipping and taxes.

Don't forget that Wise Sports, and URAS are also being currently distributed in the U.S., and BN Sports USA was active not too long ago. So your options are not really limited.

Also, Version Select is not Japanese......

Hey man I have the 40mm D-max fronts, granted they are on an s14 but the fitment is fantastic. Check out the link below. It is a small write up I did on installing them on my s14 as well as comparing them to the old b-magic fenders I did have.
http://zilvia.net/f/chat/204216-d-max-d1-spec-kouki-fender-install-detailed-write-up-56k-need-not-waste-time.html

All in all I think you will be very pleased with the fitment and quality of d-max. I personally feel that the quality of my front d-max fenders far surpasses the quality of the origin rears that I have. Hope this helps with your decision.
