I'm not a fan of retro cars all that much, but this thing honestly looks fuckin hot. I can't wait to see specs on it. Shit even if it was a stock C6 or Z06 that would be fine with me.

Keep in mind this is NOT a concept from GM.

I can't wait to see the actual model come out.

Renderings are good to get a basic idea of how it will look, but real life models always translate a little differently.

Personally, the mixture of "Stingray" styling and C6 technology is COMPLETE WIN in theory. To quote the PM I sent Mel about this car, "I'd drive the Hell out of it... it's incredifuckingble."

Well, Saleen added about 6 inches to the rear of the current Mustang variant on their models, so that they could add a whale tail wing on it, so I'm sure it's just a matter of fabricating a fiberglass composite tail that's a little longer to fit on the frame rails on the C6. That whole rear panel is 1 piece, so...

I'm really digging the back half of the car and the lack of the hatch glass but still having the hatch'ish body. The front end is tolerable but it doesn't really appeal to me.

We have one of those around here, makes me cry because the fiberglass body is all F'd up on it.

and the metal front bumpers went to 71 1/2 i believe (corvettes, like camaro's started mid year so its a 1/2 year...)

*edit did some quick research, changed the bumpers in 73 due to government regulations (bastards)

69 was the best year, steel bumpers and a 454 big block package .....:drool:

really? id think maybe no one does it anymore because they are more into building the most efficient aerodynamics and pop ups probably isnt very ideal for that.
