Umm you have to find the the power wire for the headlights. You know when you turn on your head lights you have to find the correct wire from that switch. So when you hook your gauges up to that when you turn on your headlights the gauges come on instead of being all on or just running a wire from a 12V DC with a switch. So what year do you have? Il look it up later

I hhoked the gauges up to the dimmer switch cause i felt that it was easier that way. just get a voltage indicator (theyre like $1.50 or something cheap like that) and test the wires when the headlights are on and off and see which one's power and there you go. I cant remember what colour it is but its not hard to find it. And I think black is negative

shouldn't there already be an existing power wire connected to the headlight switch??? if so, why not just use that one?

yea you can, but still a problem of where to put the dimmer, actually where to fit it in, it used to be a stick on switch, but those gauges have a little box with blue/green knnob for lights.

yeh it worked great... mine have a little controller that let u change them fomr green to blue... and i let it dangle at the bottom of my steerring column... big mistake... i got in the car as sson as i finished and i hit the controller wiht my knee and broke the wires... now i have to pay 20-30 bucks to get them soddered back on... i only got to see them light up... never got to enjoy them.... also ever since i put in the guages my speedometer stays at 10 when im not moving... i didnt mess wiht n e thing... i just clipped and unclipped the clips in the back of the guages... n e body know whats up?
