I know im stupid, i want to keep this car HORRIBLY! BUT with my work slowing down, and my wife taking more classes, meaning less work for her, i have been forced to sell because i can simply not afford the things i want to do with the car.
Simple facts:
location: Birmingham, Alabama
1998 Acura Integra Type R #98-0181
101,000 miles on chassis, about 3000miles since rebuild on motor
Clean title, but i owe on it, The title is at the bank and if you have ever bought a car using a loan, its a very simple process to get it out of the bank. I can go ahead and tell you if you need a loan, Credit Unions are about the only places i know of giving loans for older cars right now. The vehicle is finance through a credit union and had no problems getting my loan for it.
Car is a 1998 and came with NO AC from the factory. Has factory block off button too.
Exterior:
The good:
Brand new ITR front lip from Acura of Memphis
Front bumper was repainted recently
All stock exterior
The bad:
Fenders have a few dings
Drivers door has 2 small dings that any paintless dent remover will remove for under $50
Passenger side quarter panel has a dent in it from previous owner rubbing against a parking pole. I have been told by multiple body shops about 7 hours labor time, but my friends told me its really only about 3 hours labor time to full fix it and prep it for paint.
Also, the passenger side quarter panel has been replaced. The previous owner did not even know, but i went through the whole car when i purchased it trying to figure out all the little hidden secrets i could. It seems to be a pretty good job at fixing it, but just for my own insurance, i went through and resealed all i could with clear sealant to make sure no leaks.
Side skirts are rattle canned white and are not champ white.
The paint is clean, i waxed it recently, looked like it had not been waxed since 1998 when i got it. A buff job would really bring out the paint better, but of course to make it a perfect car, the dents and dings fixed with fresh paint would do wonders.
Interior:
The good:
Border Carbon fiber backed seats.
Crow 4 pt harness on drivers side only. No harness bar so the shoulder straps are pointless currently.
No tears, rips or cuts or any defects in the dash or any other interior pieces.
The rear seats are there and in great shape.
Stock Acura CD player with code
The bad:
No trunk area interior (no spare tire/ jack/ etc)
CD player does not read CDs for some reason, but radio works fine
No passenger seat belts installed (front or rear) but i do have them for all 4 corners and will be included with purchase.
Engine:
The good:
Fresh rebuild 3000 miles ago
Simple facts:
LS/ VTEC
Golden Eagle Sleeves (84mm/2.0liter)
Endyn Pistons (9:5:1)
Eagle rods
Arp fasteners throughout
stock LS crank
1st gen b16 head
ITR springs and retainers
B16 cams
B16 transmission that is BUTTER in every gear with no pop outs or grinds
Rc 750cc injectors
Wiring is untouched in the car except for injectors and map (GM 3 bar)
Recent compression check shows perfect compression through out all cylinders. (185psi)
Inline pro turbo kit
Car make 380whp and 270tq on 15psi of boost maxing injectors out
Car is fully tuned on Hondata S300
With proper wastegate and injectors the car is every bit capable of 600+ whp which is what i want to do with it, but dont have the money to finish
I have been to the 1/4 mile track once. The results :
The car has been the best quarter mile time of 11.6 @124mph with a 1.75 60 ft on 24.5x8.5x15 M&H slicks on a stock ITR wheels (6.5inches)
I have been to the 1/8th mile track once.
Best 1/8th mile ET to date 7.43 @ 93 mph with a 1.65 60ft on same setup (.2 of second faster than the 8th mile time on the 11.6 pass)
With some more driving time the car could possibly see 11.0's, as it went [email protected] my first pass ever with the car, and my first time driving on slicks.
THE BAD:
At idle and crank up the TURBO is smoking. it is an precision t4/t67 non BB turbo. And i KNOW its the turbo because i pulled everything off the other day and drove the car all motor for about an hour, and the car did not spit out one bit of smoke at all, even at WOT. I also did the compression check at this time to double check, everything was perfect.
It MAYBE a drain issue, but i have not messed with it that much here recently.
B&R turbos quoted me $425 to rebuild the turbo FYI.
The car is open downpipe, so its kinda LOUD.
Suspension/ Brakes:
Koni yellows with some Koni adjustable coilover (similar to Ground controls)
Slotted rotors front and rear
Stainless steel brake lines
Ryane Engineering rear trailing arms (lowers car 2 inches without adjusting camber)
No ABS or SRS The abs line and everything is there, but the lines running to the wheels are not there. This is how i bought the car.
The airbags im pretty sure would work if you just plug the drivers side one in. The guy had an aftermarket steering wheel on when he owned it, but sold it to me with a stock one with no airbag. I put an airbag in it, but did not hook it up
The Car overall:
Its frikin fast as shit. 3rd gear is pointless on street tires, and sometimes 4th gear, depending on the road conditions. The car is strong as hell and is a total sleeper.
I daily drive the car and have no issues at ALL, except for the turbo smoking.
I am looking for a QUICK SALE. and my asking price is
$13,000 FIRM. Which is a killer deal for a fully built ITR that has been proven at the track. I owe about $6500 so if you want to trade me something, you do the math.
Please PM me with ANY questions or CALL OR TEXT MESSAGE me at 205-401-1433
THANK YOU
Michael Lee
