i have connections in the uk, and im over there quite alot, there is a massive call for jdm/us rear bumpers for the s14/s14a

so there is a massive interest in these, but was wondering if over in the states people want the euro bumper??? (pic below) im looking to do an exchange system if there is enough interest

Maybe...not alot of folks actually know the Euro rear bumpers are diffent nor have actually seen them. I only know 1 person on this board who has that bumper.

I believe those are rear foglights which light up with your DTRL, could be wrong though.

No, they are rear foglights that light up when you push the rear foglight switch. UK doesn't have DTRL, only Canada.

i live in germany and the z edition rear valances are almost impossible to find. there was one for sale on the german boards it went for 300 euro iirc

FYI

Only one side lights up, the other side is a reflector. Conceivably you could rig lights for both, but i was too lazy

only Thing that would be of intrest is the engine harness part number for this car. or a vin to get the part number from the FAST program, this car looks to be LHD and these came with the SR20DET so a brand new harness from Nissan would save everyone the hassle of rewiring. Assuming this car is a 5 speed. :) just a thought. You could make sum money buying A few harnesses from nissan and shipping to the US.

im gonna jump out here and say i love the uk spec rear bumper and lip. i believe it compliments the tail lights very well, more so with a shaved 3rd brake light (or JDM zenki trunk, same shit).

Yes you are the only one...every S14, hell even S15s that ive seen that has one, either has a stub left or is all rusted to hell. Leaking rear glass sucks. :bash:

You can't cut auto glass. You could have a new piece of glass made which would be absolutely retarded expensive, or use Lexan or something of lesser cost. I've seen a few rear windows on Ebay before, problem is a lot of the JDM rear windows doesn't come with a rear defogger, the keyless antenna, or the FM antenna so you'd want glass from Europe to have all the proper options, and as said shipping from mainland Europe is way more than Japan, especially on glass. The packing and freight charges just to ship within the US is sick. I've sold two rear windows in the past and by the time you build a box and stuff it well enough to keep the glass from breaking you've got a box the size of a piano.
All that effort for something that, IMO, looks like shit. Functional or not, we don't get enough rain to justify sticking a wiper back there.

Throw a rock at a window and ask that again.

Chop top cars have custom glass made, but it's not safety glass, they also don't have grids in them for defoggers and antennas. Glass can be heated/molded to any shape imaginable but you can't cut it after it's tempered, so you'd have to make a new mold, pour the glass, heat it, cut it, imprint the grid, then temper it to make a true replacement window.

...and so is that Euro bumper for that matter. Honestly,the only Euro item worth buying are the Zenki glass headlights. Now THOSE are worth every penny. Just don't tailgate big trucks for fear of rock debris.

So in short, +1 for the "don't want the bumper" side of this thread. blech...

We already get them here cheap enough at around $420 a pair. Since the US 240SX owners are the most lowballing, cheap ass people on Earth, I doubt you'd do much business with that route unless they were $200 a pair. Anything more than that and you're 'ripping' people off. Trust me. The first time we did a group buy on these back in 1999 we were paying $560 a pair and people were pleased, today though with even better deals on overseas parts (which based on the market are priced even higher now than back then) the new kids complain it's too expensive.

Germany only. You can nab all the parts from a Pathfinder or Q45 easily. You want to stick with pre-2000 parts to avoid having to add a control unit of some kind, the Titan, Armada, and Maxima stuff is way more complicated to wire in. I've got all the stuff I pulled from a 98 Q, I just haven't found the time to pull the seat fabric off and lay the grids in. Shit is damn nice to have though.

If you're inquiring about the Z Edition lip, forget it. There's only 201 examples of that lip ever made, all sold in Germany on the Z Edition model. The user 'Cookie' in England commissioned them to make one more from the mold, he has number #201. OptionZero is the only one I know of to have it in the US. I had one for a bit too, made a deal with a guy in Spain to ship it over, but I didn't like the fitment on the US bumper and sold it back to someone in the UK. For more than I paid, which was near four figures. Without shipping. It's the most expensive piece I've ever bought for a car besides my Volk wheels. And they were only $65 more.

But seriously, this guy got the idea to start this (Euro Rear Bumper) from me in another thread he started. I do like the Euro-Rear bumper and wiper. I do agree that the bumper would look better with the crazy expensive mouldings. I also know that the Euro glass would be incredibly impractical to ship. Plus i've heard that alot of people in Europe "shave" the wiper anyways. But with a currently scratched to shit and gouged (sp) rear stock bumper...the Euro seems liek a cool option IMO. Seems liek a better idea than getting a hella expensive body kit :2f2f:.

a friend of mine bought a German Spec S14 it came with this :

1 - Sr20det Stock (duh) also the dealer offerd FMIC as an option.
2 - Z32 front brakes (duh).
3 - LEATHER ELECTRIC seats. (driver + pass).
4 - Rear fog lights BOTH WORK.
5 - No sun roof (lighter)
6 - NATS Key (the key with the eletric thing so the car will not get stolen by thuges)
7 - Front lip. (option Kouki greddy lip.)
8 - BBS Rims 17x8+20 Allaround. (dealer option)
9 - xenon front lights FROM THE FACTORY.
10 - Rear wiper.
11 - The Front seats are heated.
12 - 260kmh speedo. (~150mph).
13 - 7500 rev limiter. (duh).

All that for 26000 $ back in 98...now he won't sell it even for 15K$ :mrmeph:

I like the EDM bumpers, and was trying to find one around last year. I'll be looking again by the end of this year.

Also, If you look around on ebay you can find fiberglass replicas of the Z rear valance. I'm sure it won't be OEM fitment, But fiberglass is pretty easy to work.

True. The SRB replica looks nothing like the Z Edition, although it is a full lip it's way more aggressive. It actually looks like ass on a car with a stock aerokit, needs something crazier like a CWest or Origin front and sides to look right.

I cannot see how it would possibly be less than $300, if that.

It's a shame Nissan USA didn't grow a brain stem and make the JDM bumper and some variation of the rear valence available here.

I have never seen a replica on ebay, i suspect it's a different lip that's being confused for the z-valence. The piece doesn't fit on the USDM bumper anyways, so there'd be remolding involved.

SRB power makes something similar, With a little work it could be dead on.

I have seen the fiberglass replicas on ebay before, I was looking last year though.

edit- Oh, Looks like someone already posted the SRB lip up. It still falls under the fact that saying "you will never see/have one" isn't true. Sure, Maybe you won't have a real Z-lip, But if it looks the same who cares. It just takes time to change a couple of things, And the rape you have to deal with when shipping from Europe.

If you check back to the thread in the link, Dan from SRB said it's a possibility to adapt the mould for you if you get enough interest :)
