wait so the gas station people didnt make you pay on the spot? huh. It really shouldnt be that much at all.. i mean its just a hose. If gas spilled everywhere when the hose snapped off then thats a problem haha.. but im sure the pump shut off when the tank was full.

Wow. That's super fail.

Those connectors are made to snap apart in case someone does what you did. That's why they fit it with a slip fitting.

It shouldn't cost much if anything to fix it. I doubt they'd even charge you.

at my town gas station i use, its say on a big warning sticker it cost from 50-180.00 to repair if u leave the pump on so i guess its not that bad unless u drove off and the whole place just exploded....(slow motion scene as you drive away) but that didnt happen. Whats the worst damage? a big ass hose and gun?

Seriously. I've seen several people do that. They always freak out, and I help 'em out. I just walk over, snap the hose back together, smile as I shake my head in a disapproving manner, and walk away.

i work at a gas station full service and my friend left it in the car twice and the customer drove off. they ripped the handle off and gas was going everywhere. the actual parts are very cheap like 200 bucks. retesting the pumps for any leaks was like 1200! so yea they may not test it who knows
