tires size question

i got 4 brand new 17 x 8 on both front and back. i was wondering what is the best size for that. i have 215 40 17 on my old rims would it look good on the new 17 x 8?

I'd go 215/45 a 40 series is a little too small for a 17 imo

no, it's a non-staggered setup..

both the front and rear tires, should be the same so you can rotate them

you could have them the same size but you'd want to have them bigger in the rear for more traction. 215/45 should be fine for the front. i'm running 215/40/17 on a 9wide rim and it's a lot of stretch. As for the rear I would go with a 225/40 or 45 series.
