I put the subframe spacers that cpark sells in last night and wheel hop didn't go away at all. It actualy seems worse, way worse. Before I put them I would get wheel hop but now the whole car shakes, hard! but whem i had someone look at the wheels when i spin them no bounce. it sounds like the subframe is smacking the body of the car. i cant find any wear spots or missing paint. i searched for another simular post but the solution was never posted. does any one else with these things have this problem? also my rear tires sound like they rub on hard corners now.

i know that my set up is suspect but the sound it makes is metal slaming in to metal

89 240sx 300zx (na) lsd, eibach springs and factory shocks (it was this way when i bought it) sr20det, jun flywheel, star stage 3 clutch, 17x9 rear wheels with 245/45/17 tires (ill switch back to 255/40/17 in the summer. ( which might get rid of the rubbing)

you bushings could be gone (dead)
subframe spacers dont fix your bushing problems!

Also when I was shacking everything down the only thing that seemed to have any slack in it was drive shaft. I could turn it a little bit before the wheels would spin.(diff actualy had the slack) I also broke two of the smaller bolts of on the front bracket but welded studs in place of bolts this should not make a differance any help would be great thanks!

one thing that might help is bring it to an alignment shop and ask them to check it out, they will tell you what needs to be replaced. they are usually pretty good at finding loose or worn bushings and ball joints.

ok if the bushings are bad would spacers make it worse? alignment is maybe two weeks old they saw no problems with them then. also it apears that the subframe is not moving. the diff seems tight to the frame i dont see what else could be the problem.

Have you checked your rear shocks? Cause once they get old or worn, the back bouces like a Btch!

ok so i took the rear end apart again and the spacers had gouges in them. (the front two) so ifigured that the nut was bottoning out before it was as tight as can be on the frame. so i put a couple of washers to take up the slack. the violent shacking is less.(i also made sure the bracket was contacting the spacer fully, a hammer made sure of that.) i dont see how the sub frame could move and shake but maybe? but the shocks i could see those bouncing but im still debating on weather to buy kyb's or tein coil over setup. (rear shocks are probaly blown) i can move the tire when its jacked up like two inches.)

The shocks have nothing to do with how far you can move the wheel when it is jacked up. That has to do with how stiff your prings are. If your shocks are blown, you will know by how much the car bounces in the rear when you hit a bump or are driving down the highway and you notice the rear end floating up and down.

hmm, i should know that. well then that is not the problem. car does not bounce. even when im cornering and go over quick bumps (bumps that cause quick movement and lots of travel) it does not feel as if tire bounces off the ground. ( ive seen a few cars do that) but shock could still possibly be the problem.

damn it i'm just going have to replace every bushing back there. there is like $450 in bushings back there.

i hate wheel hop!
