you get what you pay for.
buy cheap-get cheap
buy cheap-get seats that sit higher
i'd say sparco but you still sit high w/ sparco rails
either way, you will regret it at one date.

anything sparco in a non-reclinable is going to be a competition seat afaik........which is not comfortable for daily use.

i have a bottom of the line sparco in my car, i dont mind it at all, i made a custom bracket and its not too high, i can still fit in fine with a helmet and im 6"3'. as for the comfort though im probly not the best judge cause i dont like ps so i removed it and i dont have ac either, comfort isnt high on my list. i like it though and ive seen them for $200 shipped.

<-----wishes he could afford Brix. my dilemas the whole reclinable vs non cuz I really like the sparco EVO II but dont know if I can deal with a non reclineing seat. so It'll probably be the corbeau carrera which came recommended for its support by a physical therapist :D

Good luck. A2 Recaros in nice condition are a bitch to find.
Try GLIs as well.

I just sat in a set of MOMO Race Seats and they are COMFY...they are reclinable and I am getting them used for 900 with brackets and sliders.
I recommend you get Corbeaus they are nice seats and not cheap like Tenzos and R1's. The color should last longer and not fade. If you no have da money...den get only one. Your passenger doesn't really need the seat. Save and get one Sparco Torino or MOMO race seat if you wanna go all out get a Recaro or Bride. The JIC Cross seats are also really nice and cost about the same as a Sparco Torino.
Only problem I forsee with non reclinable is how people are gonna get in the back seat. Doesn't seem to possible.
Either way enjoy I heard people have gotten the R1's and liked them.

I have Ricaro. I like them fine. I prefer them over Sparco.

for an extra 500 bucks over a Sparco...I would hope they are somewhat better! :-) your talking about Recaros right?
If I could get any seat its a Bride, don't even know how good they feel yet just owning one is bad ass. Bride with Takata harness....

I had sat in a few aftermarket seats before and this is what I think about them.
My brother's GTI 337 comes with Recaros, They look killer but they don't really hug you that well at sharp turns due to the high padding in the middle and the slippery fabrics. The fabric quality is not what you would expect from Recaro. Nevertheness they're still a great upgrade over the stock ones.
I also sat in my friend's DAD seats (knock off Torino style), and surprisingly they hug really nice, the fabric is not top notch but for the cheap price I think they're worth it.
Corbeau seat sucks! Period. I used to have a pair of Corbeau A4s in my Civic, after a while the fabric started to wear out and you can see little white "buds" began to form on the fabric. The reclining mechanism also sucks too, one time I got rear-ended by another car at like 25mph and the whole damn seat collasped on me. I complained to Corbeau about the defected reclining brackets and they send me another pair free of charge. Lucky I didn't get hurt or they'll have a law-suit in their hand.
Anyway, I hope my experience above will somewhat help you out deciding which seat to/not to go for. Good luck!
