Here comes 2 new problems from my wallet stressing RHS13 (I'm starting to have regrets about this car.... sad isn't it, a zilvia member looking down on his fastback, the whole story about me and the car I THINK is close to a morning soap). Anyhoo my driver's seat belt isn't moving when I open my door, my top light doesn't even turn on either, not to mention my cd deck doesn't turn on anymore when I turn my car on (had to rewire it so I can listen to music while driving), and my clock works but when I open the door or start the car it resets. Any one willing to help me make a miracle and make my ride "not a total loss"?

i'm not sure if my prediction is correct but i m thinking that you have a ground problem... as for the seatbelt just as long as you think they are not functional due to whatever reason just take it to the nissan service center and have them replace for free or you might want to convert them to the manual ones taken off from a S14 or canadian spec or j spec S13. hope this helps a little if not all.

its your fuses. check them all
i had the same problem replaced a fuse and its all good.

if that doesnt work, check your wiring, wiring master.

well the seatbelt fuse is on the same fuse as the power windows so if its only ur drivers side seatbelt thats not working and if ur windows work id check the wiring. good luck man.

How do I find the fuses, or can anyone make out some of the abbreviations?

i am having the exact same problem. EXACT Seriously, its exact. My seatbelt doesn't move unless the key is in the on position. The clock doesn't show everything. And the deck... It didn't work cause I messed with it. But i just fixed that today... Hook the battery wire of the harness to the ignition wire.. :)

are you guys sure its the fuse?

I highly doubt that there's a fuse problem, I checked all the fuses, I bet there's a problem in the wiring, just can't find it. I need some suggestions on what I should do cuz i just ran out of ideas

Well... the brain to your seat belts is under the center console. You can start checking the power leads to the driver's side and see if there are any shorts. I would agree with S13driver and also start checking grounds. The motor to the seatbelts is behind the panel right under the back of the seatbelt track (makes since doesn't it)... you can check the power leads on this as well. If the brain is getting power and sending it to the motor... there is probably some sort of ground problem/short between the two. if the motor is getting power... the motor may be dead.

Since the dome light isn't working either... I would check the door button that is in the door jam (tells the car the door is open). This might be shorted/ grounded out and is not telling the car to move the seatbelt.

Honestly, since my car has an RB20DET and it's wiring harness doesn't have anything for the seatbelt brain... I just closed the door and turned the car on so the seatbelts would go back... then I pulled the bain. Now I just have to unbuckle them... oh well. Try this other stuff if you want them to work.

As far as the radio, pull it and check the power plug (has a lot of 12 gauge wires in it) and look for the green wire with the red tracer. I am pretty sure this is the switched 12V wire for the radio to come on when the key is on (check to make sure with a multi-meter). If you can't find a switched 12V wire (all power wires are 12 gauge I'm pretty sure... same with the door power supply), I would start tracing them to the fuse box and seeing if they are getting power there.

Good luck buddy! Hope this helps.

COOL! Now I just gotta get my seatbelt to work! hehe, it's been a hassle but hopefully in a matter of time I can get it to function properly. At least I got everything else right. And guess what! Finally after months of lagging, I opened the fuel tank from the top and took out my fuel pump. Little did I know, there was a little pink hose running down and it wasn't connected to my fuel pump. Kinda curious how it came off in the first place, never messed with it in any way. Okay well enough jibber jabber, thanks a lot on the feedback and stuff on the electrical and seatbelt stuff!

Hey since ur online right now, maybe u could give me ur AIM s/nor something...? Try checking your fuses first, CAREFULLY. lolz my mistake on that one. I had this little thing that checks the fuses that they're intact without the hassel of taking out/putting in. Have no idea what's it called. And do you have any part or your wirings open and touching the metal of the car? It's always best to DOUBLE CHECK.

whenever electrical things dont work right for me after messing with the stereo and such its ALWAYS the dome light fuse. same thing happened today where the belt wouldnt move and everything else. was the dome light fuse AGAIN. i guess its good that its constant so its easy to fix. i dunno if this is the problem with other people, but 99% of the time its the problem for me.
