Ok so, I am basically just looking for some input and thoughts about whether or not I should drive 150 miles to get it to my garage.
*edit*
engine is s15 sr20 that has been rebuilt with JE forged pistons roughly 5000 miles ago.
HKS 256/256 step ones.
Here's the story:
My car is parked at my girlfriends apartment because I am in a dorm where I couldn't get a parking pass to leave my car near me. So we are planning to go home this weekend (150 mi drive) and I was going to drive my 240 back home so I could put on my gt2871r that came in the mail.
So every time I am over at her place I just drive it down the street and back.
EXCEPT today. I make my rounds down the street and back, and as I am turning into her parking lot, the oil light comes on and my gauge reads 0 oil pressure. I pull into a spot really fast and turn the car off. Now, when I was driving the car the whole time I kept it under 3k rpm, and when it lost oil pressure it was around 1.5k -2.5k rpm for approximately 8 seconds.
I am freaking out because all of the stories I have read of people losing oil pressure and spinning a bearing...etc..etc.
I pop the hood and get out of the car.
The intercooler, splitter, spots on the hood, lights are COVERED in oil. I look back and see oil trail marks following my car all the way from the road into the parking spot.
All in all I conclude that the oil came out of one of my AN fittings on the oil cooler.
These are my options:
* since the leak/hole is coming from my oil cooler, I can just unhook the greddy oil filter relocation, and put a new filter on the BLOCK. And attempt to drive home without engine blowing up.
*somehow find a way to tow/trailer it home this weekend.
*cry
Another pile of shit to add to this problem is that oil is all over the ground under my car and the trail leading to it. Which means I need to get my car the HELL out of that parking lot before I possibly get fined or something for it.
Thus my wanting to drive it home this weekend to get it away from that place.
SO what do you guys think I should do in this fucked up scenario.
