shits loose and turning the nut just turns the both the nut and stud.

Thought I could use a allen key to tighten the stud but I guess its just a round hole...

am I stupid and there is a certain way to tighten it or what?

Probably best way is to either hit it with an impact real quick

Or

if its on the engine stick a pry bar through one of the holes to hold the pully

An impact is always good! It should have splines to keep the pulley from spinning and then you can hold the pulley with your hand and tighten/loosen however you want. If it is just spinning you might have stripped it or something. Googles your friend too.

or along the prybar type idea but not really, you can back out one of the mounting bolt so the whole in the pulley catches on it and tighten the pulley bolt.

I'ts not a problem with the pully moving.

The problem is the stud is spinning along with the bolt likes it stripped inside.

I can't seem to get the stud/bolt out to replace it with a different one and I can't tighten it because it just want's to spin.

I thought I could use a allen key to hold the stud but I guess its just a hole in the bolt...gayyy
