why do you want any bigger than 17s? are they for a jeep/truck?

afaik, no companies make custom/wide steelies bigger than 17".

ILoveMyRHS13
10-27-2008, 06:39 PM
Diamond Racing doesn't make anything bigger than 17x8 unless you go custom; which they do do custom orders.

mxsx25
10-27-2008, 06:40 PM
lol no ive just seen these steelies on a couple s13's and thought they looked sick.. and what it comes down to is who makes those wheels i pictured above?

The rims you posted are Diamond Racing. You can go onto their website and get a free brochure! :naughtyd:

10-27-2008, 06:43 PM
Why would you want steelies that big? The 17x8's weigh a friggin shit ton! Besides for the price you could get yourself a nice used set of wheels.

ILoveMyRHS13
10-27-2008, 06:48 PM
Actually, Diamond only charges about $89-$119 per rim... Even if they are heavy; they are made for sprint cars, hahah. They look good, though. 15/16 stagger.

sorry im not following. are you asking about width? because you can get steelies widened to whatever size you want for a price. dont wanna thread jack but anyone out there should start a thread just about steelies next to wheel fitment whore

10-27-2008, 07:44 PM
summitracing.com and look for cragars. They make them in pretty much any size you want. I wouldn't suggest them on a already slow car as they weigh 23lbs for the 15x7(yes I put them on the scale).

I love these wheels!

i believe its the amount of stretch on the tire thats throwing you off on how big they are.
if i remember correctly the ones pictured have like a 195 or a 205 mounted on them.

I already posted up where you can get them. And you can get in 17x9 -5ish offset. I consider that pretty massive for steelies. They also cost like $60 per.

If you want custom ones that are wide as hell expect to custom order them from Diamond. I have 16x10 -19 all around that I bought used. They are not as heavy as people make them out to be and are rugged as hell. The people that hate on them just are jealous they don't have sweet circle track wheels! HAHA. Don't hate on ride height people coilovers are en route. Wheels are also being repainted to the original gloss black. Fuck the Cragers as they look like dog shit in comparison. Mine were $155 a piece new, which for the width, offset and the plus of saving money by not going 5 lug were well worth it. FUCK THE HATERS!

it's like rotas that don't break as much and on lower offsets, but are uglier and heavier.

Well I guess it is that high because there are no coilovers on the car! If you read and comprehend my post you can see that I say coilovers are on the way. So take your bottle of haterade and dump it on yourself please. When it has coilovers it will be in slamtown.

lol, where the hell would you find a rire to fit?
Stretch a transport trucks tire? lol

I'm ordering a set of 18x10 and 18x12's... I love the steelie look.

They go by back spacing and not offset. Yes they are different. The way it's measure is different.

Backspacing = space from inside portion of the rim lip to the backside of the mounting surface. In inches.

offset = space from the wheel centre line that the mounting portion is located. In mm.

I am aware. I was told my diamonds are -19mm. 16x10j. I bought them used. Just measured them and looks to be about 5 and 1/8 inches of backspacing on a 10inch wheel. I used this online calculator http://www.1000rims.com/rt_specs.jsp and it tells me that they are -13mm. Hmmm.

Well aren't you doing things bass ackwarrds. Fitting Wheels before you even need to? How the fuck do you even know how much to pull? I mean it already looks like someone got a little too gung ho with the roll and decided to pull also. So now your call will continue to look like ass... but that's ok. The thing is, you spent money on that abortion of a steelie when you should have painted your body parts.

Or better yet, buy coilovers and space out the stock wheels. ANYTHING other than what you did would've most likely been better than the path you choose.

What I find even funnier is that you try and hate on me or a matter of fact ANYONE who decides to have taste and buy real wheels.

I know for a fact that if you can't afford to paint your car, buy real tires, fix that body damage, buy coilovers, I know for a FACT that you aren't going to build a motor worth anything.

So I will continue to drink my bottle of haterade filled with only the finest wine and doing lines of coke.

You on the other hand are just hopeless.

I agree 100%.

However, if steelies are the look your going for with your car, then perfect. I'm not on a tight budget, I had my choice in wheels... but my personal taste is what I have on my car currently. My silvia will have the typical 18's... but I think my 180 suits the wheels.

And oh how you wish all I do is stay online.

Sadly, it isn't true.

You obviously don't know what time it is because the ONLY reason you stretch tires is for fitting wheels because you're slammed. Yet you clearly say your goal isn't to have a slammed car? That Sir is a contradiction.

You wheels are stretched for no reason.

These cam on my S13 when i bought it. there fairly common, you should check if yours came with them too.

The custom paint was actually sprayed in my Garage. Its a mix of Krylon aresol and rustolium spray paint.

I didn't cleam the rims first and it gave it a great textured look as well.

The paint also covers the rubber as well as the rim.

Anybody that has diamond racing wheels wanna let me know what a good sizing is for the rear of a s13 with a pulled fender. and wanna let me know it in the way they measure it with the backspace instead of offset.
