I dont know if i've posted this in the wrong section, if i did mods im sorry, and please move it.
Ok so i was wondering what everybody is using for electronic boost controllers, what you have used, what your favorite is, and why.

Apex'I AVC-R
You can see alot of engine parameters if you hook it up to your ecu.
Realy simple to use.
But then, again, the profec is pretty slim and can be hidden easy.

I use World Electronics. I hear the AVC-R is also good but the World Electronics is just as good and a bit cheaper apparently. Haven't heard good things about the Profec B except that it's small.

Manual BC all day. Hallman if you want the best.

I have used pretty much everything out there, and my favorite one so far has been the Blitz Dual Solenoid.
I have used the AVCR, Manual styles (various ones), Greddy etc.
The Bltiz brings on boost harder and faster and once gain is set properly is almost 100$% locked in, no matter what gear or load condition.
Great unit.

I've heard that the blitz dual solenoid allows you to cahnge boost levels on the fly without any problems at all, is this true? I thought all electronic boost controllers let you do this

Yeah it's super fast.

Haltech closed loop solenoid
I still have a profec b spec 2, kinda of a pain to get it set, and most other ebc's but once you get it set your golden.
I still have an old school turbo xs dual stage laying around. that one was sweet, u set it manually and run it to a 2 way switch.

Apex'I AVC-R, only thing that can really learn your car over time.
Greddy is junk in compare.

I've heard the ams1000 is the best controller on the market and for the price it should be. I use a $25 ingersol rand solonoid, a 5 position rotary switch and the autronic to have 5 boost settings.

my profec spec 2 works awesome. i have a feeling a lot of the people who complain about it just do not understand how it works.
do you guys run fuel cut eliminators? i use an HKS unit on "3" and it makes all the difference in the world if youre on a stock ECU.

AEM Tru Boost...to match my UEGO.
im running that too, i like it cos its simple and minimizes random electronics in the cabin, but its definately not the best

profec b's are pretty good.
my buddy ran a Blitz SBC-ID 2 In his supra, it was tricky too use at first but pretty badass.

its a bit confusing to set up at first but once you got everything dialed in, it works awesome!

I runned;
Apex'I AVC-R
Greddy profec b spec 2
Greddy E-01
Both greddy were a pain to set up properly when I was a noob, once they're set. They work really nice and changing boost on the fly is able with knowledge of it. I love my E-01 and wouldn't change it other than a Blitz unit.
Apex'I was easy to use, alot of monitoring available also. It can have boost setting in each gears..yadda yadda, alot of features !
I installed a Blitz SBC-ID in my friend's 180sx and it's a nice units too, models with dual solenoid is something that make them better since it manage boost faster / better

The apexi BC is not gear dependent, it is RPM dependent.
I have a the HKS EVC 5 and I absolutely love it. Very clean looking and works great. Also very easy to set up. I had the profec B before and hated it.

There's setting in the Apex'I AVC-R to set which gear you're in, it know it by using the VSS divided by RPM. Anyway...they're not gear dependent like you said but can be set to set duty cycle in whatever gears you're in by theses setting
I didn't really used this feature, maybe whoever used it could talk about it !

I have installed 2 of them, VERY easy to use and install, work flawlessly so far. Simple units that can be used on a gauges pod like a boost gauges. 2-1 is kinda hard to beat !
