i love e9x m3's... Theres a white one on post. He drives it like he stole it too...

Like he stole it and he doesnt want to get caught that is. Very slow. However, there are a few e46 m3's on post, and a couple 135i's. They drive them like they're bmws lol.

Dude everyone on post drives a sexy ass bmw, its not fair. Everyday i swear i drive by at least one or two m3's and at least one or two 135i's and countless 335i's it kinda makes me wanna get in the bmw game for a bit....but that shall come later in life.

Yeah not to a big fan of those rims but the car is DOPE:snoop:

Those BBS wheels look great. Volks, not so much (this time).

Kinda off-topic:
Although this is a Rahal-Letterman owned car, I find it weird that Letterman doesn't seem to be a car buff. Rahal-Leno, that seems to makes more sense.

I don't like the body kit. A little too fancy.

LOL
I have a feeling that at least 90% of the aero on that ALMS car is for functional purposes.

seriously, first one mentions sunk wheels next mentions the aero looks overdone

it's RACE CAR people, this isn't your 240, this car is built for function

seriously sad :ugh:

Body kit!!!??? BBBWWWWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Dude, that is wind tunnel engineered aerodynamics dude! There IS a difference, a HUGE difference!

I agree that the BBS's should have been kept. The volk wheels just don't look right on a BMW race car.

i dont like euro cars on Volks for the most part. i think they could have chosen a better looking wheel. but looks arent always everything.

Aye caramba! :duh: Making it flush is for function! Simply put. They try to get the maximum amount of tire under the fenders (since they can't exceed that because of rules) and they do it in such a way that it is aerodynamic! It has nothing to do with looks. Geesh. I swear no one on hear actually follows any race series

No actually it is not for function, it is for looks. The tire width is regulated, as well as the overall width of the body. There is plenty of room in the wheelwells to fit the maximum allowed width tires. You actually want the wheels to be a little sunk for aero. If the wheels are flush then the air coming out of the inside of the wheels comes crashing directly into the high pressure airflow on the side of the body. If you sink the wheels in a bit and have a small lip around the front of the wheelwell you can create a small low pressure zone which helps with evacuating the air from the wheelwell. Don't talk shit about functional aero unless you actually know something about aerodynamics, KTHX.

Impressive to say the least. Gold BBS LMS with red ctr cap all the way imo. Still sick. I can't believe that thing is so light!! I wonder if the weight they stated is with a full tank of gas and the driver? Maybe if the canards and the front lip were carbon a long with some other carbon accents would bring it together for ME looks wise but its bad ass. Fluid dynamics and wind tunnel testing. Serious business.

I dunno man, Volks look pretty good on an M3. I think it's just the angle of the shot.
