well, i know someone selling HKS hypermax 2's for $850, with 5k miles on them.. these are $2000 coilovers, and he said the only thing wrong with them is that the camber plates make some noise, but can be easily replaced for less than $100... they are on his car right now so i could go to where he lives and take a ride in it, but when i do what should i look for/feel for? i know it shouldn't bounce, but what else .. lol and could the camber plates problem he mentioned lead to another thing wrong with the coils?
just seems like a deal i can't pass up if they aren't blown!

Just look for common areas of wear, and make sure everything works smoothly, like the perches, bearing in the camber plate, mounting studs arent stripped, etc.

I guess a torn dust boot can be a minor problem also, but its a cheap fix.

Feel the ride, obviously if you dont like it, dont buy it. Check the struts for leak would be the next thing.
