im looking to pick up a NEW sr20det alternator

i looked all over and cant find shi* all i find is how you can redrill a ka's and install

im looking for a oem one plz someone help

and if anyone also know about sr starters you'd be my BFF ;)

Its easy swap pulleys, u dont need a spacer as I didnt then drill out the bottom mounting part that has one long bolt go through it. You just need a very slightly bigger size hole

just take the guts out of a KA starter and put it into the SR starter housing.. been done several times. theres a write up somewhere on here.

Its easyier to drill it out take maybe 15 seconds, If he said he needs a NEW alternator I doubt the internals are good, and he said it is an ALTERNATOR not a starter

just look up in the yellow pages for places that rebuilds starters/alternators and have them work on your old one. for less than $100, you've got yourself a new alternator.

I bought I used perfectly fine alternator of a member here for 35 shipped. Just post in wtb section, I got a lot of pms

Now im lost cause i took my old alternator off my ka24e and bolted it up to my sr without any issues

I remember when my friend needed an alternator for his Sr20... it was a royal pain, I think the suggestions to rebuild your current is better!

wow so no one supplys the oem one? ill try calling the nismo shop

i saw that jgy sales a rebuilt starter for sr's so ill look in to that

line n24o said, just get a ka alternater, drill out the threads where thong bolt goes to and install. I had to run a thinner serpentine belt, but it's been on my ride for 2+ years without issues.
