I just received my ISIS S13 SR intake manifold from Enjuku Racing Parts, LLC (http://www.EnjukuRacing.com) and decided to write a quick review since I saw a few people were wondering about it.
After initially receiving the package I broke it open, and gave everything the once over. My initial impression was that the manifold looked very good, especially considering its over 450$ cheaper then the Greddy manifold. The high polished finish is nice, and the casting on the inside of the plenum looks surprisingly good, theres no real rough jagged edges like Ive seen in some of the Freddy ebay manifolds.
Fresh Out of the box:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v715/Prok0/ISIS%20Intake%20Mani/IMG_3285s.jpg
And the casting on the inside.

So after looking it all over I threw it on a spare motor I had in the garage to check initial fitment.
It slides over the studs and bolts to the head without any issues, and the IACV bolted on with no problems as well. The stock throttle cable bracket also bolted on without issue.
There was a small issue with bolting on the fuel rail, the bolt hole furthest to the rear of the manifold didnt quite line up, but we managed to solve this really easily by just slightly dremel'ing the bolt hole in the fuel rail.
Here are a few pictures of the manifold on the spare motor.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v715/Prok0/ISIS%20Intake%20Mani/IMG_3288s.jpg
And here is kind of a blurry pic, but you can see the bolt whole not quite lining up.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v715/Prok0/ISIS%20Intake%20Mani/IMG_3290s.jpg
Another small issue I ran into was that the throttle body bolts bottom'ed out and needed to be slightly shorter, so I ran to the hardware store and bought 4 slightly shorter bolts. I may have been able to get away with stacking 2 extra washers on each bolt, but I decided to just run out and grab shorter bolts.
So after sorting out those slight kinks we threw the manifold on the car. Installing it went smoothly, I bolted it up, hooked all the necessary lines up, dremeled the fuel rail slightly on the back mounting point, cut my stock S13 greddy piping, and put on a 45 degree coupler and fired the car up. Im sure you could also just buy the greddy cold pipe designed for this manifold, but I had a 45 degree coupler available and really wanted to get the car on the road.
Once I started it up the car ran fine and after making a few pulls it was obvious that the car had a noticeable increase in top end power.
And here are a few pictures of it installed on the car.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v715/Prok0/ISIS%20Intake%20Mani/IMG_3292s.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v715/Prok0/ISIS%20Intake%20Mani/IMG_3293s.jpg
So all In all, I feel this was definitely a good buy, and for anyone technically sound enough to remove and install an intake manifold, making the small modifications (Dremel the fuel rail bolt hole out slighly, and buy shorter throttle body bolts) shouldnt be an issue, and is well worth the 450+ dollar savings.

WOWWIE!!! Awesome, did this kill your low end? What was the noticeable difference in the low end? Maybe some ideas of your setup would be nice too thanks!
Great write up and keeping an open mind and going on a limb and trying something different.

Cool, I was wondering about these, The casting has to be tight for it to polish out
Looks great!

Only thing is, I don't like the polished look.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaand all the other FReddy non-polished imitations are all metallic abortions.
soooooooooooooooooo...
If I were to buy an intake mani, looks like I'll be buying the REAL DEAL GReddy.

The car is a stock S13 SR, Megan exhaust manifold, Greddy MSpec FMIC, 3'' dp, exhaust, and megan o2 housing, ISIS intake mani, S14 T28, Z32 maf, 740cc Nismos, Enthalpy Rom Tune, and it is currently running around 17psi.
You do lose some low end with this manifold, Im imagining just because the much shorter runners, but you gain a good amount up top as well. It honestly doesnt feel different then friends who have the Greddy IM's.
I think with pretty much any aftermarket intake manifold you go with your going to lose bottom end, unless it maintains long runners.
I may have the car thrown on a dyno with the ISIS mani, and then put a stock mani back on so we really know whats going on, but thats not definite at the moment, I have to see what dyno time would cost.

looks like they were either made from molds of the greddy IM, or they were made in the same factory from the same molds and tooling.

most companies buy the authentic parts and copy them to run business. What's funny is guys with stock sr's will update their intake manifolds for the bling power without the mods to back them so in the end they will have more airflor top end on a stock turbo with shaft play that's passing oil and run the loudest atmospheric blow off valve possible to let me know they have a turbo when i'm trying to get some hot wings.
oh cool intake manifold btw, try to make it less obvious it's a blatant copy of greddy's redesigned s13 manifold. And Ricers, paint your cars instead of buying go fast parts for the non go fast cars you drive
kthxgg

But I don't have $500 to spend on it right now, nor do I need it since I don't even have cams yet.

Def. gonna have to get one, Does it come with all the hardware needed?
Yeah, it comes with the hoses and clamps for iacv, and vacuum ports you can thread into the manifold, as well as some block offs for the vacuum ports if you dont want or need to use them all..
All the other hardware you should have on your stock manifold ( fuel rail bolts, manifold to head bolts, and throttle body bolts )
The only thing is you will either have to put some washers on the throttle body bolts, or buy shorter ones like I did, because the stock ones are slightly too long, and bottom out.
That and I believe you will need 2 small bolts for the throttle cable bracket, because the stock manifold has studs and you use nuts to hold the bracket in place, where as the ISIS manifold is just drilled/tapped, and doesnt have studs.
I forget if those bolts were included in the package or if I just dug them out of my spare bolts bin.

Thanks for the review! I've been running a freddy (forget whos) for a while now and love it. I also noticed most of the same things you did about the Isis manifold. When i threw my car on the dyno i noticed about 10whp top end gain, with a loss at low end. Post up dyno graphs if you get one! I'll see if i can find mine somewhere.

Because in all likelyhood this manifold was made using the molds used to produce Greddys manifolds, and as we all know the greddy manifold has an indent there to put its badge.
The problem is, atleast in my eyes, when Greddy attempted to reduce costs they farmed out production and didnt keep a tight hold on their products and knowledge, so the same manufacturers that began making manifolds for Greddy were able to make them by themselves and sell them at a discount.
In the past few years, since Greddy tried to cut costs through production a drop in quality, atleast in their cast pieces like intake manifolds and oil pans has been very apparent, so when a 'knock-off' exhibits the exact same cast quality as the real deal, I dont particularly see the point of spending an extra 200-500$ on essentially the same thing.
Case and point, the newer oil pans from greddy, the drain bolt hole always strips, and the casting inside isnt the same quality as the older pans. Me, and 3 or 4 friends have had the pan bolt strip, and I know enjuku had the same issue as well from speaking with Ken and Jason.
Yes, Greddy initially did the R&D for those pieces, but before the freddy pans and manifolds were offered the Greddy units were the only thing on the market for atleast a few years, which should have been more then enough time to recoup R&D costs, and reinvest in creating new products, instead of sitting back and not introducing anything new.
All in all I think it has alot to do with poor managerial decisions at Greddy, a lack of strict oversight and control of the new production facilities, and basic economics that really led to Greddys current problems with knock offs.

drain bolt holes usually only strip if you over torque it. i'm betting you overtorque'd it. don't blame the manufacturer when it's user error.
as for basic economics, i'm willing to bet they decreased pricing for awhile to obtain good quarter earnings profits. it's short term but a good way to boost up their standings as well as defer some of their bad quarters. well not just economics, but accounting wise.
to keep things short, i'm pretty sure I have a "new" greddy pan and it's the best quality ever. no complaints here and I wouldn't hesitate to buy a greddy intake manifold if I had to save 2-4 weeks more to get one knowing I was going to get the real deal.

If your car takes a shit on you, we all know why........ but in the name of louis vitton, there is alot of overpriced labels out there. spend wisely is the key, remember we arent gonna get social security and i bet 90% of the people on here dont even know what a 401k is. save your money or you could actually buy your mom a mothers day gift this year.

be my guest. we just copied the design of some "nismo led tail light" that was made in japan and replicated in china. dont worry, we tested them and the quality is good enough for most broke 240 owners....
