HUD Cluster issue!!!!!

So i just got a HUD and it lit up when i first jump started my car, yes jump started because i have a bad battery. So i shut off my car and put the cluster in its place and the next time i turned it on and drove it the HUD would not display the speed, could it be the fact that my battery is crap? Some1 help me out in getting this cluster up and running please!!!!!!!!!!

Is your digital cluster working when the hud is off or both turn off? If the cluster works and the hud doesn't then it might be the hud unit but most likely it is the connection.

Well everything but the digital display works, but when i first connected and had the jump starter connected to the battery the digital display was marking 0 mph, then when i turned it on a second time it didn't display anything but the jump starter was no longer connected

I figure i see a lot of people complaining about them, also i just realized the tach is not moving either

Thanks i'll try it, so no one thinks it might be the fact that my battery is no good... because i know i need a new battery fora fact.

yea it does reset it but i think you have a connection problem though. Mine did that b4 well both the display and cluster wen out though. Well if you really want the hud, take the cluster apart and look for this:

those legs might be rusted and do not conduct the current well.

Ok so i tested the capacitor with a soldering iron and it lit so im assuming that was the issue thanks for all your help guys, beers on me if i ever run into any1 on the street.

So does any1 know if i need to use the tach from my sr20 cluster if i have an sr20 motor on my car so my HUD tach actually marks my RPM's. Some1 said they heard that, and i need to confirm so it starts marking my RPM's.
