Are you serious? You know what louvers are right? Why would you put those on any car ever. If you want to keep the sun out of your car get tint.

I disagree, about not putting them on any car... I personally think they look good on some camaro's, newer daytona's, and Iroc's. Notice the going trend though? It's really more of a domestic thing.

I disagree with putting them on those car's to. It makes those trashy car's look even trashier.

Eww,

Your kidding me, right. Why don't you just get some overalls, drink some moon shine, stop bathing and hit the women in your life.

The 240's aren't american big old V8 straightliners. Why would you ruin the smooth lines of the 240 fast back with that?

no doubt.

Louvers arent redneck.....have you ever seen them on the early 80's Celica GT/Supras? Its looks cool on those cars, and those cars are far from redneck..and were badass in their time. They look sweet if they are installed correctly, and are maintained (securely fastened, good paint, and waxed). Unfortunately most cars you seem them on are trashy because there are some ghetto kits that you can buy at AutoZone, and most hilbilly hotrodders buy their low-end hop-up parts (fake chrome detail kits, supertrap mufflers, crappy PIAA driving light kits, goofy bent design FM antennas, headlight blackout kits, generic wings, etc) in stores like that. The only reason you guys think its redneck is because most of the cars you've ever seen them on are old junkers that are past their prime (like that crap pic that was posted above). Glossy black louvers on a matching black car are way sweet.....and they look alot better than some of the ricer mods people are doing these days (tall wings, fart noise mufflers, Japanese characture stickers, "Lo-Ryderz Customzz" stickers, Shogun body kits, etc.)

Actually when I was searching for a pic i was searching for a pic of a 300Z or a 240Z or a early Supra with louver's to show how it makes those cars look like complete ass, exept all I could find was that yellow car. I don't care how new and shiny the louvers are, I have NEVER seen a car where it improves the looks on and most people would agree. Just because a piece of crap is new does'nt mean it still does'nt look like crap. You want something that even most ricers have enough taste to stay away from http://forums.off-topic.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif I can't stop you from ruining your 240SX, i'll let the lack of aftermarket louver's handle that

P.S. As you can tell I deeply disspise louver's http://www.angelfire.com/ma/noopie/images/smileys/FIREdevil.gif

I never said anything about redneck, I said domestic. Granted there may be some imports that look ok with them, but for the most part it really is a domestic thing.

As for why ricers stay away from them, they're not in style anymore. Louvers were big back in the 70s and 80s. Think of it this way... You don't see them using domestics for the most part right? It's mostly the imports because that's what's in style right now. It doesn't mean that domestics suck, or are ugly. Some people just don't care for them. I don't really like them for the most part, there are a few that look ok. but it's all about what you like or don't like. I agree that louvers would look like ASS on a 240sx, but to go as far as saying they look like ass alltogether is taking it too far IMHO.

Nope they look like ASS alltogether. Still have yet to see a car where they enhance the looks

I'm not sure where to buy 'em.. but I know GTS makes a sort of defuser thing for the top of the hatch.. not sure how that'd look... Might look kinda neat painted? I dunno.. not a huge fan of anything GTS, but it might look okay
