Hey right now im running one iron caliper and one aluminum caliper in the front.

****Skip If too Lazy To read****
To make a long story short. I ordered 2 1992 z32 spec calipers from napa, when my shipment arrived there was only one caliper, the front left. I was then notified after 2 weeks of pestering them with emails that the front right was out of stock... Yea thanks for letting me know after sending me the front left... (NAPA is a B**** dont ever deal with them)

I then tried to return it, never got an email back or anything or a phone call. (those B**** never answer the phone or reply to messages) So great im stuck with 1 aluminum caliper.)

I then go to autozone and order 2 iron calipers from a 1993 spec z32, since the 92's were out of stock everywhere. Basically after bolting it on and testing i realized the right caliper had a sealed shut hole, for the brake line... meaning... the fluidhad nowhere to go... im not even kidding the hole is SHUT i can take pictures to show it. Its pretty hilarious actually.

So in the end i ended up putting my single front left aluminum caliper on the front right, basically i bled the caliper with the screw up then i placed it int he right position (which would be bleeder screw down, since its a front left caliper)

My question is, is running a front left iron caliper and a front right aluminum caliper going to affect me alot? The weight difference isnt THAT significant, but it is there.

Btw Car brakes fine its actually, quite awesome...

um not sure if this will happen with z brakes but when i upgraded my stock s13 brakes to j30 brakes i accidently put them on the wrong sides and they didnt get any pressure and wouldnt stop unless i pumped the $h!t out of them

im guessing that would happen with the z brakes? but im not sure havent done it...like CA Silvia said dont cheap out on brakes there one of the most important parts of the car

K maybe you should read everything my bad for putting skip. Cheaping out? Are you kidding me? I bought 2 aluminum ones fr and fl only fl came and theyw ouldnt let me return. So i went and bought 2 more just for consistency. Luckily i did cause they both came iron and not aluminum. Then only one of them work. Do you think i had a choice autozone cant even source me out another caliper right now. I bought a total of 4 FRONT calipers. And my money still hasnt been credited back and you tell me im cheaping out?

I think it should be fine, i bled the front right with the bleeder screw up and once i finished bleeding all 4 brakes i flipped it back over in its normal position, meaning bleeder screw down, but its closed so it should be fine until i need to bleed it again. (its a front left caliper on the front right)

Brakes work perfect with no pre-pumps necessary, infact they feel really good.

Youll be fine. Just bleed them right and it will all work out..... as long as they are the same size... both 26mm or both 30mm

Yea they're both 30mm, bleeding is goign to be a real pain in the a** though but im just waiting for autozone to get me the correct iron one then hopefully swapping it out.
