Who on this board owns a rare two-tone coupe?
-silverish blue with gray
-green with gray
-white with brown
or the even more rare yellow with gray.

My fastback is two different shades of red, does that count? :p
The first S13 I ever sat in was a green/gray coupe.

whoa Kazuo! that is beautiful. I was going to get a two-tone Silvia front as well with AERO bumper(luckily) but decided to keep the pop-up look going. Props on your car looking so fresh and so clean clean....and so JDM'ish!!!!!!
C'mon guys, there's gotta be more 2-tones around here!

kazuo, you know im a fan of the 2 tone. your car rocks
just need some deep dished mesh wheels, about 3 degrees neg camber up front and 1.5 in rear and your car will be badass hahaha
at least that' what i would do if i had your coupe. makes me hate my fastback!

Thanks for the props on my ride, guys. It ain't perfect, but it's getting there.
I'm finishing up the redtop swap this weekend (hopefully), and I'm going to eventually buy some new rimmies. This carwill forever be a work in progress. ;)
Dousan: What kind of rimmies you think I should get? I was thinking Gramlights or TE37s, but then I'm starting to see those way too much and I do wanna kinda get some mesh rims... hehe, I just don't know which kinds look good since I don't really know of any good ones. I do want something lightweight though (preferably gold/bronze; I think that color rim would look good on my ride).
hehe.
There will also be a nice vent on the bumper soon too... (sidemount! w00t ;) )

i love your rims, what are the specs (width and size) and how much you pay for them and how much to let them go?

Kazuo- If you ever need any meshies, I'm the man to get them. They don't call me the Mesh guy for nothing.....;)
Oni-Those are my old rims. 15x7 Riken Mesh with 0 offset(not a good offset if you have stock fenders). I was gettin the car sideways one day and accidentally got too close to the curb and tweaked one beyond recognition. So i just sold one pair for $150 with good Toyo Proxes. The other ones are collecting dust in my shed.
next step for my car is to buy front/rear FRP wide fenders or at least get fender flares to fit my 15x10 centerliners.

well they looked nice, heh, those 15x10 sound good

Eh, 0 offset is fiiine, hehe... Yeah, mine stick out, too, but the time for negative camber will come! :D
Damn, how I wish I had a two-tone. I searched everywhere for a long time (easily over a year), leaving notes on cars, etc. Then, ended up with a champagne coupe that I bought from my friend, who picked up a blue two tone that same night  :( :D.

okie dokie
at the moment the only meshies i have are 15x7 Hayashi Perrier. but im not posting those for sale soon, probably in a couple weeks.
I might get a hold of some Epsilon mesh 15x9s from a friend. youre gonna need some flares or something for that size offset. Not even some Ultra Super Nega Camb can fix that!

They look pretty good to me. =) About 1.5 degrees negative camber.
I think they fit OK on S14s, but with S13 stock fenders, you will definitely need more than -1.5deg. of camber! with my 15x7 +5, I needed around -2.5 to -3 deg of camber to tuck them under the unrolled fenders. :)

Ok, I've never seen this color in the US. Are we talking about the cream/gray two tone? In that case, I've never seen one in the states either... Post pics, please. I'm not doubting you, I just want to see what these look like.

I have seen the yellow and grey 2 tone 240SX. It was only offered on coupes in 89, so they are pretty rare. I really want one...I love it.
Check out www.socal240sx.org for a 240SX color chart.
Dennis
Seeing as how you didn't even mention it, it'll be ULTRA rare.. blue with purple

Color is TH1, 'midnight blue pearl'

theres two tone fastbacks?
I thought coupes only came two tone. Are you the original owner?
http://halzmann2.homestead.com/files/240_external.jpg
(don't mind the bald tires.. this was shortly after I bought it)
I am not the first owner.. The car first belonged to a lady, then a french guy that was staying in the area for awhile, then it 'belonged' to the person he was staying with, whom I then bought it from..
It is not possible that the car was repainted.. granted, while the engine bay is black, the interior metal surfaces are the same color as the outside.

Halz - Umm I think your talking about a whole different subject, or my eyes are bad.
When they say two tone they mean the top half is a different color than the bottom half.
Your car just looks like it is blurple (at least thats what I call it), in which the color changes in different light. If it is blurple, I prefer the one on the S14. It has a bit of a different tone, or the car was real clean.
1 entry found for twotone.
two-tone (ttn) or two-toned (-tnd)
adj.
Having two colors or two shades of a single color.
No entry found for blurple :(

You're referring to the Mediteranean blue, only offered on the 96 240SX. Another weird color that I really like is the 95 concord grey...has bits of red, purple, etc. in it. Really a pretty color.

There is no such thing as blurple, i just call it that. I guess technically its a two tone, but they are talking about a color that came on old coupes that is half one color half another.

fastbaks were NOT made in two-tone. Unless an owner decides to paint it like that.
Only us coupe owners got that option! yea!! Anyone know where i can buy those riveted fender flares? for cheap? thanks
coolerow - why on earth do you have my AIM if you never ask for anything. I can get the Jun overfenders. Those are the best for the old-school look, IMO.
