Yea i have a friend who has a 300zx and is doing a skyline brake converson, and he might give me his 300zx stuff, or charge me some. I have a few questions though

#1 Would he need a new hub for the skyline brakes, meaning i could do a 5 lug conversion

#2 How hard is it to just put on the caliper?

#3 If he were to sell the stuff to me, how much would it be worth

No. The Skyline brakes bolt on.

2 bolts. Not hard.

The Z stuff or Skyline stuff? depends on what he gives you. I'll guesstimate at around 200 for used calipers rotors and pads.

First off, show a little respect to 240racer...he has more knowledge than you do. He's just trying to give you some advice; correct grammer will get you better responses.

As for your questions:

1. No from what I've heard; could be wrong though.

2. Not very hard...it's pretty much a straight bolt on (assuming you have done the five lug conversion). I don't know if it will bolt straight up to the four lug hubs with just redrilling the rotors. If you use the stock lines, you have to use the z32 lines for safety reasons. The 240sx lines use a banjo fitting where as the 300zx lines use a male/female connection. Bolt the z32 lines in where the hard line feeds from the m/c in the wheel well.

3. Depends on condition, but probably around $300 for stock calipers, z32 lines, and oem pads and rotors. Upgraded equipment means a little more upgraded price.

Callipers clear the s14 16" rims...I don't think they clear the s13 rims...could be wrong though.

no need to convert to 5 lug for front brakes. just redrill the rotors.

The 1990 300ZX NA's 26mm brakes clear some S13 7-spokers... it depends on the design of the back of the spokes, some have an extra stiffening rib that hits the caliper. Steelies or the 'teardrop' '89-'90 wheels will not clear. I don't think the 30mm brakes will clear any stock S13 wheels either.

Ahh.. grammar is the key in life.
And most older skyline brakes are the same as 300zx brakes.. so he'll be sad when he gets them.

It depends.. GTS-t brakes are roughly the same (as are S14 and S15 Silvia brakes)

GT-R brakes are larger though. R32 GT-R brakes use a similar 4-piston caliper but a larger disc. R33 and R34 brakes are basically the same as the 350Z track.... huge Brembo stuff.
