KK so heres the quick story.
Yesterday i put lowering spring on my car.
I drove to a friends house like an hour and a half away and it rode fine.
But on the way back it felt as if i was losing control alot and the car wanted to slide from left to right. Almost like a drifting feel however i wasnt doing it.
When i got home i pushed down on the back of my car and the shocks were working as the car was bouncing up and down. BUT when i pushed down on the front the car is ROCK SOLID! No bouncing of any sort which isnt good.
What im guessing is maybe the bump stops bottemed out? Should i take those out? thats the only thing i can think of.
If you guys may know what it could be please let me know, im still searching the web looking for causes but cant find any =[
Your help would be appreciated. =]
Thanks.

Ohhh also. If i were to jack the front end of my car up and the shocks dont drop...that would be the struts are locked up or somesort of that matter right?
God this is wack lol

I can't think of anything that would cause a strut to not rebound after compression.
Even if you did bottom out it wouldn't "stick" and stay bottomed out.
Squirrely handling can easily be caused by a fucked tension rod but that wouldn't explain the other problem. If you're sure you installed the springs properly then take the front strut assemblies back out and whatever the issue is should be obvious.
Post pics i wanna see what happened.

when you installed the springs in the front did you make sure the notch was on the inside of the car?

did you make sure this notch right here in this picture went on the inside of the car?

ok first to answer a few of your quetions
yes the notch was on the inside. maybe a couple centimeters off directly inside meaning they aint exzactly inside, they are turned about 2 centimeters away from direct inside.
and i jacked the car up and the suspension dropped so i guess it wasnt the struts?
i took out the bump stops and now the car aint rock stiff in the front, the car is actualy pretty bouncy now -/
however i was driving home today from gettin my little sister and i noticed it still has that drifting wanting to take control feel? it aint as bad as before and it mainly only happens wen i give the car some gas on a turn or while im turning and hit a bump it does so. never did before.

u have toe out in the rear im almost positive causing the feeling that you are describing. depending on how low the rear is you might be able to get some adjustability with the eccentric bolts, but to get within spec, you will probably need rear toe arms
also to add, do your rear wheels look kind of like this \ / versus | | assuming the top is the front and the bottom is the rear.

also when we put the springs on some of the wheel threads were crossthreaded. the back left ones all snapped so we replaces them. the back right one broke so im ridein on three till my dad gets home to replace all four instead of just one. the front left one snapped so we he wants to replace all four of those instead of also and the front right are fine.
and my back tires look kinda like this / \....not at such a huge angle like that but they are toed out in that direction somewhat.
i just got off the phone with my dad and he said the same thing you just said so hopefully i can get this fixed lol
get an alignment asap. ive corded tires by being lazy and not aligning after coilovers/lowering springs
