Okay guys im stumped, i have been working on my car all day now. Car is s13 sr20det blacktop in s14. I went over to a friends house to hook up an afc neo and z32 maf. My car still had the ka maf on it and we decided to put the sr maf off of my friends car onto mine. My friend went to cut the old maf harness and didnt know the igniton and battery were still on/connected. When he cut the harness the fuel pump primed for a second and then we realized what happened.

Disconnected batt, wired up the sr maf and tried to start the car. The motor just turns over. Every once in a while the motor will almost start, its like it will ranomly get a hit on 1 or 2 cyl. and then nothing. ECU led is lit, so im assuming its good. Couldnt find any bad fuses. The car is getting spark, fuel pump primes, you can smell unburnt fuel in exhuast and when we pulled the plugs. Car ran and started fine before this happened. We put the original maf back on still no fire.

Any tips, certain fuses to check that i might have missed, relays?

swapped ignitor chip and ecu w/ friend still nothing.

I noticed that i do not feel or hear the injectors clicking when the motor turns over, any help diagnosing this? fuses and relays that i should check?

TIA

update:

well after messing with the car more i have ANOTHER problem, fuel pump doesnt prime anymore dunno what the heck is going on. Can anyone confirm which relay is the fuel pump relay? Ive read its one of them on the passenger side, or its the brown one on the drivers side fuse box.

s chassis = the new dsm, im fucking pissed

You could've fried your ecu.

Make sure that your ECU is TIGHTLY screwed into your harness.

Then try switching ECUs if that doesn't work.

That's most likely the case, but double check your mafs connections.

if the fuel pump isnt priming you probly fried it, you can check the fuel pump relays they are in the pass side fuse panel under the hood. they should both be green
