Should be picking up a buddy club wide seat pretty soon and need to order up a rail.
Planned on going with a bride FG but was told by a buddy that the FG rail won't work with the wide version.
Told me Dave from touge factory said it himself and has already tried it, just wanted to see if anyone has any experience trying to get it to work?
I would prefer to go FG if I can but if not I'll just have to settler sitting 4 feet of ground...

I have a copy of the buddy club wide seats, don't know how exact the measurements are, but it is a wide seat. I've used the buddy club rails, and they suck, sat way too high. I took a chance and got some FG rails from logan at aspec. I figured, if the seat didn't fit, the FG could easily be sold. But with a little bit of muscle, it actually fit. It's a tight fit but, the slider still works smooth.
my friend has a wide BC seat and he's using the bride Fg rails only problem with rails is you cant move it back and forth.

From these two posts, I would say that the FG works with a bit of coercion ? How would this affect the offset of the seat to the steering wheel which is already a bit of concern with the FG rail ?

No
Not just coercion, assuming the seat is a wider seat than normal (I'm talking wider seats in general, such as the Recaro Pole Position)
You'd need to more than likely modify the lower portion of the bracket (the one that bolts to the floor on the rear) to widen the space between the two rails (depending on the seat, it might/might not be a lot)
Bride FG rail is probably the "best" rail for the S chassis, just generally speaking (all inclusive, low position, dual locking)
But yeah the wider seat is the issue...I haven't really found a reliable solution to wider seats, but modifying a FG rail should be easy for any fabricator...but a reliable solution to me would be one that doesn't require fab
Some people complain about the seat not being dead center but I never noticed anything, and if anything you get used to it
If you are really picky you can modify the rail to slide over, but at that point I think its more practical to just get used to it (if it even bothers you in the first place)

Damn, I wanted to run a wide Buddy Club but have it sit at least a bit lower than stock. When I was at the track, my helmet almost grazes the headliner and I'm only 5'7 !! So, ANYBODY, does the Buddy Club (wide) bucket with Buddy Club super low seat rail at least sit a bit lower than stock S14 seats in an S13 ?
