this weekend got ugly. i had just got done fixing the cooling problems. taken off my heat shield. then i went to the "track" and got some races in. races went good until the last 2. some punk in a 97 firebird wanted to race so we waited for our turn, raced, i smoked him, then my temp gauge started to go up. he said he messed up hiss launch (b.s. i thought it was an auto) . but we made another run and my car had no power under 5k rpm. after that it started to pull like it usually does. i barely won, but when driving to a friends house that night. i was pouring out blue smoke from the exhaust. had smoke coming from the passengers side of the engine bay. temp gauge stuck on cold. no heater. and power was starting to die off. parked it . then next morning took a look at it. engine oil was clean, 1st cylinder spark wire was stuck and bent, i guess cuz the plug was bent. car started after cranking for a while. it slowly built up rpm until . i noticed it was running on its own. car wouldnt go past 10mph. turned off car smoke came from every part of the car. and this is where im at. should i just buy a new ka? or do my sr swap now. any ideas on what happened?

Valve float, piston seal. Check compression.

97 firebird?!?! you won? Wow.

V6 firebird = gerbil spinning a ferris wheel.. too little power, too much mass.

Your motor is basically toast at this point. Part it out and buy another, or take out a loan (with $2k more than what you think you'll need) and get an SR.
