ok i know i want full coilovers but they are a bit expensive and may be a little overkill for me right now. anyway, i want to close up that wheel gap and possibly lose some body roll. i am running 15's and my car already has brand new shocks and struts. what lowering spring should i go with? i like the tein units ( i wouldnt think they would make lowering springs?) but there is the ground controls and so on. what would be the best bang for the buck......... i cant spend more than 3 bones on the deal. thankx

From what I collect, Eibach sportlines couple with maybe an s/t rear or whiteline rear sway bar would work perfectly for what you want. The Eibachs don't salvage your ride quality much at all, just the slightest increase in stiffness and a decent decrease in bodyroll (of course not totally eliminated) and the sway bar is of course pretty essential to keeping your ass end stuck.

springs = 170
sway = 100-150 (www.optauto.com sells s/t pdm-racing.net sells whiteline)

By your description it sounds like you DON'T want coilovers.. seriously.

Ground Controls will not really lower your car much, either, and they're overkill anyway. Are you going to cornerweight your car? No? Exactly. They require different struts than what you're using anyway.

Normally I'd say "don't half-ass it, do it right or don't do it." but in this case $300 is plenty.

Stick with softer springs for OEM-quality struts. whiteline, eibach pro-kit, those will work great. Harder springs will overwork the struts... the struts won't be able to damp the motion, leading to the dreaded porpoising effect.

I think the Pro-Kits or the similar H&R's would be a great match for what you've got and what you want. Many have the Pro-kits, but you might try a search for more on the H&R's (I recall a few very good reviews of them).

Ok. So what kind of spring/shock combo would be good for lowering without the bouncing around. Nevermind the price...

Yellows or AGX with a good middle spring rate set of springs or coilovers (nothing too stiff). Of course the difference in yellows and agx are kinda big, but both are good bang for the buck.

what about the tein springs? would i not be able to use a stock type strut or shock. the springs seem like a really good price and they are the ones im leaning towards right now. anyone have any experience with them ?

i HEARD they were a real light weight, probably would be a bit soft.

i got some prokit on my s14, they feel real good, i think imma start looking into some nice struts. AGX are on the top of my list.

the AGX shocks are great, and some nice sportlines springs would be great. For all 4 shocks PDM sells them for like 400, and the springs you can get for 170-210, which should make your car handle great. IMO
