I have the system in my living room.

My car just has 6.5 pioneer 2 ways up front and a cheap Pioneer HU.

jeff240sx, is your beta amp the one with the green top or the blue?

The other one then. I'd look, but since my engine's dead, my car is 120 miles away.
Oh yea. It's supposed to be 200x2 or something.. then running at 2 ohms is 400x2, ect.
I didn't install my system, or even buy it. I relied on friends to buy, install, and tell me what's going on. I don't do anything that lies behind the firewall.

rockford fosgate amp (360 x 1)
12" infinity perfect in a ported enclosure.

i'm installing this in my blazer soon and will be using the stock 6.5"s for now. they don't sound too bad.

Blaupunkt headunit
Infinity kappa 6.5" 2 way fronts
Infinity kappa 4x6" plates rear
a free powered 8" bazooka tube in the trunk

Not an audiophile system, but way better than stock while allowing quick removal of the sub for auto-x's.

Living room:
Yamaha AX-592 (100x2 @.015% THD) integrated amplified
Paradigm mini moniter speakers on stands
Sony DVD player for dvd's and cd's
(my onkyo 6-dics doesn't fit in the cabinet:mad: )
Someday I may finally break down and build a sub, or buy a 10"/12" one.

I wana get some MP3 compatibale HU and some decent speakers and maybe the Infinity Basslink.

I am a musician and love to listen to muisc...all the time. On the other hand I am a car fantic and mess with my car all the time. For some reason, they've never mixed, I never really liked the idea of spending thousands of $$$ on a car stereo........

I subscribe to the K.I.S.S. approach...
I have a sony xplod CDX 610 (old school now, I still like it), xplod 6.5" 3-way 150 watt speakers in the doors and deck, 760 watt xplod amp, and single 800 watt 12" sub, later in life, I happened upon a Sony 10 disc changer (not Xplod, :( but life goes on). This all sounds good in the car and when someone asks me what i have, all I have to say is "Sony" and keep kicking...
