hey so its cold again here in utah..
and i am a freaking pussy when it comes to the cold. I hate it. It puts me in bad moods, gets me depressed, and i lose motivation to do anything but sit in my house and do nothing.

However i do like snowboarding 7 or 8 times a season. But that is expensive, and i figure i could have just as much fun tracking my car in dec-feb. And i cant do that here cause tracks are closed, and there is so much damn salt on the ground i wouldnt want to anyway.

I probably will be getting a visit to phoenix going here shortly to see if a move would be possible..

Is there some good tracks out there?

Don't move to AZ. AZ sucks. It's lame, it's gay, and it sucks.
Then again, I went from super-awesome Socal to Phoenix... I guess Bumfuck Utah to Phoenix might not be such a big step down.

Do you plan on driving trains in AZ? :keke:

Anywho, tracks in the area... You got Firebird Raceway in Phoenix, and Phoenix International Raceway (PIR) in Avondale, which is 10-15 miles west of Phoenix. I lived about a mile from PIR, but never got to track my car because I couldn't find a job...

If you do move to AZ, make sure you secure a damn good job beforehand.

actually with the economy shit like it is, there are lots of us laid off by the UP. :(
its cool cause i have another job but it doesnt pay near what i was making there. Just projects slow down, and i had to sell some stuff..

But utah isnt really a shit hole at all till the winter time.. In the summer/fall/spring its actually really fun.
Bishop's daughters know how to play ;)

There's also Speed World (http://www.speedworlddragstrip.com/) up in Wittmann and SIR (http://www.sirace.com/) in Tucson. Not much else though for racing.

^Those are a long drive from the Phoenix area though.

I lived up in Glendale at the time so Speed World wasn't too bad. Never went to SIR, but yeah, it is a long drive just to drag.

AZ has a decent amount of tracks all within no more than a hour really from phoenix, I live there now and FIR,PIR,SIR, hold events all the time. Speedworlds track is horrible for QT mile, buuut its another track.
