After 6 years of blood sweat and tears, I have decided to sell my 1992 Nissan 240SX. I originally purchased this car from the original owner in early 2002. The Silvia body work was added after a front-end collision. The car was professionally inspected, repaired, and painted. The stock KA24DE motor was replaced with an SR20DET from Heavy Throttle in spring of 2004. The motor runs just as strong as it did the day I first fired it up (sorry folks, no dyno numbers).
This car’s primary purpose was a weekend cruiser/autocrosser. I’ve taken it to two weekend track days with Porsche Club of America as well as an HPDE at Texas World Speedway with NASA. This car has competed in 12-15 autocrosses over the course of my ownership and has made 1 trip to San Antonio Raceway. [email protected] was the best I could manage out of only 4 runs down the track. With a proper driver and a little practice, this car could be much quicker. Over the past year I have simply lost interest in the car. I’ve done everything I wanted to do in it and find the car sitting in the garage more than being driven.
The car remains in outstanding mechanical and cosmetic condition. I just mounted brand new tires approximately 2,000 miles ago. Within the last month I’ve replaced the battery, changed the oil, had the car inspected, performed minor maintenance items, and detailed the entire car inside and out.
This car is track ready with fully adjustable KTS (SPL) coilovers and accompanying SPL links front and back. The cockpit includes a Sparco Corsa race seat, 4-point custom built roll bar, 5 point harness, and removable Sparco Ring steering wheel. I have easily invested over $20,000 into this car, and countless late nights working on it to get it to where it is today. This car has always been a reliable vehicle that I could hop in and drive whenever I want. Car has a clean title and buyer will receive all receipts (including original receipt for the car), original window sticker, and brochure.
