Here's my take.
I remember this game very vividly. Almost any big arcade had this game front and center when you walked in. It was very futuristic when it came out. You could literally put your hand through the projected hologram image.
The game was incredibly hard I remember. maybe it wasn't, but I sucked at it. Gameplay was reflex based where you had to push a button at a certain time or move the joystick a certain way. It was mostly trial and error.
If you ever get a chance to play it, you should just to experience it once.
