hi I have silkroad coilovers and someone said the front left *might* be blown. They've taken a lot of abuse over the years so its possible but I was wondering if there are any surefire ways to check? Thanks in advance

Just like checking any damper, you should remove the damper, compress it, and notice the speed of the rebound. If it doesnt come back up, or is super slow, its a blown shock.
If you are too lazy to take the damper off the car, you can push that corner of the car up and down, and watch to see if it stops moving after 1 oscillation. This is not 100% effective because you have to fight against your springs, but you can get the general idea

Removing the damper is a surefire way to check, but that means disassembling the upper mount etc. Most people can tell by looking at the coilover and noticing the fluid that's come out ~ fork oil is pretty thick, and generally coats the body of the coilover, and then dirt sticks to that, making a nasty mess.
