Looks like a GReddy knockoff to me - even has the rectangle where the GReddy Badge goes.
I dont think it being made one place over another makes it not a knock off.

You might want bigger injectors to go over 676 that rhombus made (im guessing thats what you're thinking about being the "record"...) and i hate to tell ya - mazworx broke 1000 on the s14 and the s15 is crazier. you're gonna need more than that gtk650

GTK is for pre-sema drift demo.. Turbo and fuel system will be upgraded before dyno runs.

Why not take the photos AFTER you put them on?
Seriously, why do people rush to take a bunch of half assed stage of their cars, post them on the interwebz, get shot down, and then proceed to correct everyone by saying "oh the situation has been remedied by _________ action".
Well, why not just fix it, THEN take the pictures?

but on this forum, we aren't nice. we're like a bunch of pirates and ninjas and cowboys in a bar. you gotta put up or shuttup around here.
the car is nice tho. i just wish it would have been a usdm s13.. im not at all for RHD. but this is a jspec car.. so i can live with it.

Ok, my mistake. I'll wait and you can see it on the cover of an upcoming magazine. How's that work for you?
I wasn't going to be a dick, but you opened the door. Being featured on the cover of a magazine = the ghey. Complete and total ghey in my book. What that means to me is you're building a car simply to fill a niche in the 'scene' and to impress all the fanboys who are currently jerking off to last month's issue. If you're looking for recognition, you won't get it from me. If you're trying to impress someone, you won't do that either. While I appreciate anyone's efforts, you're coming from a point of having money thrown at you that you can throw right back at the car, anyone can do that if the finances allowed for it. What's more is you have the funds to do better and you're wasting it on a nearly 20yr old car. Nothing is more lame than having shit handed to you so you can show off in front of people. There are a lot nicer cars in the World simply because the owner didn't care about fame and fortune, they built the car as they would want it, they drive it every day, and *gasp* chip the paint on it every once in a while. Winning a few awards and taking home prizes in the local car show mean absolute shit.
The minute some magazine calls me and wants to do an article is the minute I throw a can of gas and a lit match at my car. The real enthusiasts never cared for popularity, and they still don't. You clearly care about nothing but that.

You should put that in your application to ziptied if you ever try to register, and ask someone if they can embed a violin mp3 player to accompany such a heartwarming rant.
Orange cars are irritating, I don't like the wheels, the headlights are ugly and the motor is too shiny. Other than that it sounds like it will be a real beast either way. Most shops build a car to demonstrate their skills to put a car together.
If you gave half of the idiots here the money you have available to build your car they would be building the same cars going to drift events and hard parking hoping someone showed them respect for such a rad car.
In the end who cares, magazines for a shop car = free press and those 100's of fanbois will be ordering parts from him way faster than they will from any other shop that isn't getting magazine covers for their subpar builds.
And that's the truth.

I am a member, by invitation, they never even asked for an application. I logged on once like four years ago.
Still, the fact remains that the car seems to be built for the kids, nothing more, and that the kids who may feel the desire to buy products based on this car can't afford said parts anyway. It's filling a niche for all those involved, which is fine, but I don't see the need to drop to my knees and be flooded with envy. It's a flashy, shiny, aero'ed out car. Complete carbon copy of virtually every other 'drifter' or even ricer on the internet. There's nothing impressive about buying parts and installing them, any fool can do it. I don't know if you're just blatantly assuming we'd all go out and build the same thing, but you're wrong. I'd go buy a new car with a warranty and just leave it alone. You will also never find me, 240SX or not, anywhere near a car show, drift event, or anything else scene related.

I agree with russ. This is just a bolt on nightmare.
Not a touch of fab work worth anything.
Mix of knock offs and parts popular in 1998.
Would make a good stunt car for a F&F movie to get destroyed.
And I thought the GTK had a black compressor housing with compressor surge vents on the inlet? Am I missing something?

As far as "highest horsepower"
I would be surprised to see over 500 at the wheels on a dynojet.

Don't mind the rude people in here. It's your car do what you want and let them hate as long as when you open the garage you appreciate whats sitting there. They are not the ones that are going to be looking at it, so your opinion matters most. GLW the build and if I may, I would say that the wheels should probably be replaced, but to each his own.

Car looks good guys. keep it up and post up the numbers when you get em. Some people on here are way too bitter for their own good. I don't think the point's been made yet...but this car is being built to showcase your company's parts and ability with them...forget all the self-righteous bull on here...but don't forget to keep this updated.

lol, I just had to laugh at how mishi gets jumped on mercilessly
It's a company car, obviously it's just going to jump on the current trends, and it's not gonna appeal to grassroots people. Although... the Konigs.... that's just er... considering the budget... not that great of a choice, sponsored or not.
The part I'm looking forward to is seeing what a (i hope will be) no-quarter-given powertrain buildup.
Then again, I'm sure with that budget, I could build a car that doesn't look like every other big budget show touring S-chassis.

I guess the car is nice..... for a car that looks like something straight out of a need for speed game. Anyways every1 has their own taste. And why is it that all these american car shows always have these type of fast and furious cars.... still waiting for tuners that will look for clean sleek performance and not bright flashy over horrendous aero crap, that is more than likely not aero at all.

I guess Mines, and Jun are also very gay tuner companies because they build their cars for sema and other car shows and all the racer kids love them..
good work on the car, i hate bright orange and dont like the wheels but would love to see the car in action!

If you were an organism, penis would be your first name, vagina your last and your function on this planet would be a creature that randomly reproduces offspring asexually and then hibernates said offspring within itself, then kills it only to attempt re-production again, and again, and again...
That's a short description to describe how full of yourself you are.

your car is turning out pretty good though. i dont like viewing your build thread because i hate looking at your face. it makes me think that vin diesel bought a 240. your car though is OK.. i cant badmouth it. at least you're doing your share of wiring work, which most people neglect.
this pumpkin colored thing is ok. it lacks personality and doesnt have any unique parts on it. i cant understand how the builder bought high-end parts with cheap parts. the wheels are the worst part of the car, 19's just have no business on a 240. and what are they, 19x7,8,9??? you dont go widebody to run wheels that can fit on a fwd car.
even me, who is a complete fuck face, is running a 17x10 f/r.
if the owner plans on really putting down some serious power, he's going to need something much stickier than those toyo t1r's. the owner should know better than that, if he has any sense in that head of his. unless its a female, then everything makes sense.

Speaking of high horse power SR's... What the hell happened to Rhombus??? I figured his car was ganna set some records..(668whp519ft/lbs)last i heard
rhombus, eric, is a good friend of mine. hes out of s chassis now. hes driving a mk3 supra, with built 2j running the new 3bt67 from comp turbo. super fun car. ive rode in it many times.haha i ve have some of his old stuff that was on that t66 setup back in the day. lol he helped me assemble some of my sr too.
this car reminds me of other doo doo lookin cars like the turd wax car
420sx
01-16-2009, 05:13 PM
it just looks like you guys threw a bunch of stuff together not giving it much thought.
the wheels make the car. get rid of those and get something nice.
and nothing is cool about j-spec nowadays. now if you were running a bunch of moroso parts, SLP loudmouth with straight pipe, i would applaud you for being right on the next fad. but unfortunately, you have failed at that. maybe it is something you should do with your next car.
now my next question. did you build this car for yourself or to take it to shows. are you really planning on tuning it for power and then drifting it? makes little sense
800 hp on that setup? GET REAL

anyone else notice the massive amount of wiring that still needs to be tucked and hidden, or the bright silver washer holding the grill on?

I'm not sure what the other post claimed...but if I remember correctly it was in the 670 range. We're expecting well over that.
mazworx drag racing s15 makes 1500whp with an sr.
still love mishimoto im rocking radiator on my s13 and mishimoto intercoolers on my mk4 jetta and i got my friends to run them on an audi a4 and a boosted h22 accord.
so much hate..... tisk tisk tisk, if every person in here who is talking shit had the money to put into a car that you guys have in this, it would have some 18x12 volks +0 offset, a body kit, megan coilovers all the way down a 20k paint job and a ka with 300,000 miles.
and they would bitch about scraping when they pull in their driveway.
i wish i had the engine he put in that car with or without the chrome shiny pieces. nice build.

Thanks. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. We try to focus on the positives :) If you are interested in seeing this car in person, it will be at the HIN LA show on March 14th, along with our Evo X.
Also, if anyone was wondering about HP, we made 560+ on pump gas.

nah russ, thats called attention to detail......... D0000000000D.
I guess in the grand-scheme of things it doesnt matter. The car is going to HIN.
I fucking hate HIN. I've done a SHITLOAD of HIN cars this year, which is good for me, but man.. these guys bring their cars to my shop and I see SO many mistakes: molded body panels, electrical components dangling and connected with butt-connectors, loom everywhere. Fucking mess...
Personally, I dont care how much HP this car makes.. its the overall execution that matters.

Shit, I forgot. Painting the bulbs orange makes them shine correctly in clear housings. Of course a thick coat of paint doesn't allow any light output at all, but shit it looks good.
As far as HIN, shame the places don't burn to the ground. With everyone and everything still inside.

i thought GA was a nice place to live, whats all that i hear about country hospitality? everyone was so nice at the kansas city meet back in what, 2001? (notice how everyone from LA thinks that everything OUT of LA is considered "country"). :-)
