89' hatch rewire

Ok. So i reaplaced the incar wiring harness from the fuelpump all the way to the front of the car and around to the computer. My 89 is an automatic with out power options and i am using a 90' auto power everything harness. There is no power getting to the starter. Everything else is working.

What would cause the starter to not even try to turn or engage?

if you know the starter is good, hook a meter up to each wire going in and make sure they are good, if not trace it back

we have checked the wiring from the starter to the plug by the fusebox at the battery with a toner. We have power from the ignition switch to one wire on the plug that goes to the transmission(Automatic). that same plug to the transmission has another wire that goes to a second plug. This second plug, which is off of the plug to the transmission. we are getting power through the ignition wire all the way to the transmission but no power is coming back out.

What switches are involved with engaging the starter are in the transmisson?

We will check wiring coming from transmissin to check for breaks.
