So for the past few days i have been just test driving and breaking in all my new shit before i do my first track event at the end of this month to make sure everything is legit. When i first started the car (http://zilvia.net/f/premium-members/218721-sr20-hard-brake-pedal-3000rpm-idle-wtf.html#) and had it running decent it was surging at idle pretty bad. The idle would constantly bounch from 800 to 1500 rpms but the car would drive and boost fine.I tested my tps and maf and everything is perfect. So i did some searching and all signs pointed to the coolant temp sensor. So yesterday i went to autozone and i got a new cts and i installed it and went for a quick drive. Every thing was working great until i hit boost for the first time then all the sudden my idle rose to 3000rpms every time i was off the gas and wouldnt go back down!
Also i having another odd problem! some times my brake (http://zilvia.net/f/premium-members/218721-sr20-hard-brake-pedal-3000rpm-idle-wtf.html#) pedal feels great and stops awesome but every now and then my brake pedal gets rock solid! Ive bled everything and its all great and i also tested my check valve for the booster with no problems at all!
Does any one have any ideas or suggestions because everything seems to be awesome! I even did a boost leak test and all my pipes/vaccum line held 20psi easily with no leaks.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions it would be highly appreciated!

Sounds like a leaky brake booster. Check the line first for any tear. That would explain the 2 symptoms of higher idle and rock hard brake pedal.

I actualy checked the lines also! They are brandy new. I also took the shorter vaccum line from the check valve to the booster and i blew into it and it was air tight. I dont know if thats the best way to test it though! lOl!

Hmm, then maybe the brake booster is leaking. Your pedal getting stiff points to the booster.

test it with a vacuum pump to see if it has a leak
