I have been posting for a while trying to figure out what the problem was. I tried some advices given and one was to remove oil pan and clean the pick and filter thingy.
Got the oil pan out and found a shim(???) on the bottom of the oil pan. My brother said its one of the shim from the rocker arms because before he sold me the motor, he had to get a new shim for the rocker arm because one/some fell out and he replaced them. Also, the pick is clean, i have picture of the dent on the oil pan, small(???) dents, and a small metal piece also found in the oil pan. I opened up the valve cover last time but didnt really check out the rocker arms. Will open the valve cover again tomorrow to check the rocker arms.
You guys think rocker arms could be the problem for ticking? Also, noob question, i know you will mess up the specs, but is it ok to micropolish the camshaft (hks step 1)?
Here are some pics.

if i were you i'd get a new oil pan no matter where the dent is. it's only 60 bucks at thenismoshop.com. Also, i would get another oil "pick up" yours appears to have been smashed a bit. A micropolish won't hurt the cams but is it really needed?

Thanks for posting, and yes, i will be getting an oil pan. Inside the oil pan, the coating is starting to bubble and peal a bit as shown in the picture (not the best but you can see). Also will get an oil pick up with it.
I am not sure if the camshaft REALLY need to be micropolished, but Luke (blu808) said that the oil may not be circulating through the engine and making my (then) squeeking (now) tapping sound. I didnt drive it after the noise so even if the camshafts need to be micropolished, it wont be as bad.

try bleeding the lifters when you pull the cams out - thats usually the ticking noise - goodluck

Double check all the shims, bleed the lifters like stated, make sure the oil drippers on top of the cam lobes are unclogged. If Luke thinks you may be having an oil pressure issue, check that too. SRs are fucking tempermental when it comes to oiling.

OMG. Your car is a pos.
And fucking shims floating around in the engine?
You are lucky that thing is not completely broken for so many reasons.
Did your "brother" reshim according to the fsm? Where did he get the tool from.
jesus christ what has happened to zilvia?

UPdate: I took the valve cover off yesterday and found the camshaft on the intake mani. to be dirty and slugish. Only three of the rear (nearest the firewall) camshaft lobes and rocker arms are slugish and dirty. I am assuming that it is what luke said that oil is not recirculating through the entire engine well??? If so, do i need a new oil pump too (along with oil pan and oil pick up)?
Also, i read an article somewhere on how to bleed the lifters. It said "pushing down on the back of the rocker arm on the section that rides above the lifter. While pressing, if you feel any movement, you have air in that specific lifter." I tried and i did feel some movement, but can anyone confirm that?
I have some photo and also, you guys think i will need to micropolish the camshaft (on the intake mani. side)?
Comparison of both camshaft:

Now, each lobes and rocker arm of the intake side of camshaft:

if my brother did that to me id fucking taking a baseball bat to his s2000. dont buy motors where shit has been dropped into it and not accounted for. like stated before, its surprising your motor still runs. Get better pics of the shit you found in your oil pan, or take it to an experienced technician and see what they say it is. those chunks are probably chunks of your motor that got chewed up by all the shit your brother dropped into the motor. My other guess is that so much shit has been dropped in your motor, it is probably clogging up the passages. try running seafoam, and pulling the oil pan and cleaning it afterward. what kind of oil was used in your car? when does the tapping occur? does your motor sound like a diesel?

Its a shim, not shavings from the engine. It was taken to a shop to have the shim put in. Also, i wouldnt do that to my brother because its money that could be thrown into either his or my car (if he had anything like a s2000).
As you can see in the first set of pics, oil pan has already been pulled off. Used royal purple and red line. Car starts tapping right when it starts and no it does not sound like a deisel at all.
Yeah that cam lobe looks lazy.
And??? What you think is wrong with it and does it look like its gonna need to be micropolished?

I will be nice and very short, because I am not getting paid for this.
The "lazy" part was a play on words joke to you calling it "sluggish".
A human characteristic attributed to a mechanical part.
Any who.
The rockers on that cam are not shimmed properly, so its tearing at the finish of the cam lobe. While damage to them really doesn't matter in the long run, the symptom is letting you know you are more than likely to throw a rocker off, and you need a full reshim on that side.
For this the FSM is your friend. Special Service Tools will help too.
