Halloween in Santa Barbara

I've been hearing about all these block parties and Del Playa being closed
down during Halloween. Is Halloween in SB all it's cracked up to be?
Input please. My friends and I want to party away from the LA/OC area
and are thinking about SB. Any good places to hit up? Any cheap hotels
to stay at?

yup SB halloween cracks off. my home girl schools up there at sb. she says it cracks its like a mini town where all the street are closed off and its nothing but partying every house you go to is partying. shit cracks up there. ill be heading up there for the weekend of Halloween. you should go trust me u will have fun

lets just say santa beezy is effin nuts during halloween, ive lived here all my life and its intense but fun. its one of those things you have to experience once in a life time in my opinion.

haha not really, everyone will be to drunk to even notice you. haha you just walk around and see a party you like and roll up and chill, meet some beezys then they roll out with you to another party, you meet more beezys there and so on and so forth.

Isla Vista goes off. It's the only place I've ever been where tall cans are cheaper than Arizona tall cans. I'd say do it while you're young, otherwise you're a dinosaur at 25 years old because most everyone is 18 and 19.

You don't have to know anyone. You can just walk in. Only thing is: if someone calls "house cup," you gotta let them cut you for beer. Well, you SHOULD.

Be sure you have a good costume. The wilder it is, the more the girls like it. I know this doesn't need to be said, but I will anyway: whatever you do, don't dui. I know 3 people who got popped down there.

Yeah, one time my friend came back to his car and a boulder (I mean a BOULDER) was on his roof.

And another time, one friend smashed another's windshield. People started putting trash in the car.

Oh yeah, if you have a cup, walk down the street with it upside down, otherwise foot patrol will mess with you, regardless if you are under or over 21.

srsly. when i was 19 and living in slo we used to roll down to d.p. for halloween and it was fucking awesome. it is a giant mess and you seriously shouldn't bring a nice car, or at least park 3 miles away. bring a dope ass costume and tons of cheap booze (for the beezys and in case anyone hassles you for just showing up at their party). ucsb girls get stupid freaky. but be careful, i've seen ppl fall off balconys, get jumped, or arrested down there.

i went last year, party everywhere! girls flash for fun and some girls are barely wearing anything. you can crash any party no one gives a fuck! just make sure you can find a place to sleep cuz everything is blocked off, if you dont get there by friday you wont find parking. ill will def be there this halloween!

I can personally vouche for SB throwing some BADASS fuckin block halloween parties, plus if you go its MANDATORY that you go to freebirds to get your grub on, anyone who knows whats up with SB knows freebirds. Luckily my friend had a dorm at sb, so it was extra fun for me.
