In changing your valve cover gasket, should you change your spark plugs at the same time? Do the SR and KA take the same spark plugs?

no and no thats lke saying if i change my wheel bearing should i change my tires too??? the rule of thumb is only change somthing if its easier to to while your working on somthing else...the only time spark plugs r easier to change is if your wires are off wich isnt that difficult. and no the spark plugs arnt the same you should understand that the gap is VERY VERY important on any forced indection car.

Ka and Sr plugs are prettttttttttty damn close.. I was comparing them the other day.. and no you don't need to change the plugs when you change the valve cover gasket

change your spark plugs if they are contaminated by oil. there are gaskets for each sparkplug hole.

the above link shows how to change gasket on ka24de. biggest mmistake is over torquing the bolts which should not be much more than hand tight and must be tightened in proper order.

ok im almost done changing it and saw there is some liquid gasket stuff on the halfmoon seals(only there). Is that oem or is it not supposed to be there ?
Will the high temp liquid gasket stuff work to replace it ? (the orange kind)
Ok, the tube states its RTV sealant
Thanks for the help..

liquid gasket is what I used. service manual says to use a sealer on the half moons and adjacent area. doesnt matter if you do more than the moons. just make sure the gasket and meeting surfaces are clean of oil.
