I need some help from experienced 240 members. I am debating on getting some rims. I really would like to know if 19 inch rims are too big or are they ok. or would 18 inch be much better. I don't want to drop the car and the car always scrapes against something everytime I drive it.
I currently have a 1990 hatchback with an s15 front conversion(vspeed bumper) body kit all around. Right now its sitting on some 15 inch donuts.

Man, I think 19's will look awkward, go with the 18's and drop it..
I know you said you dont wanna lower it but it's going to look kind of funny if it isn't low. :-/
your style will change though. you'll get it.
but yeah 19's = too big looking unless its a way agressive styled car.

18" is plenty. youre gonna pay a lot more for the rims and the tires too obviously.

agreed, I wouldn't run any bigger than 18's
even the price difference between 17 to 18's isn't worth it to me
pros:
looks ( wheels and shorter sidewalls )
available in wider sizes ( 17: rs2 only go to 245's, re01r's only go to 255, a048's only 255's )
cons:
wheels cost more
heavier
tires cost more

Not really worth it.
I have seen an 15 faced S13 with 19s on it, and it did look great, but 18" is more than fine in most cases. Especially if you don't even lower it, it's gonna look like some freakish ricer donk.
